Did Al Gore's supporters threaten violence in the streets if their candidate did not win?

Why have some Trump supporters threatened to start a new civil war if Hillary Clinton becomes president?

How suitable that Trump would have your undying, stupid support. He's lucky to have you on his side ... and so are we.

Gore NEVER before the election claimed the vote was rigged. In a situation where the counts were very close, he demanded a recount. The Supreme Court then entered the situation and after applying right wing voodoo, declared Florida belonged to Dubya. And Gore graciously conceded, maintaining his dignity and honor. Dignity and honor, two qualities Trump and you never had.

Lick the spoon little boy ...LOL

"In one of the closest contests in U.S. history, the 2000 presidential election between Democratic Vice-President Al Gore and Republican governor of Texas George W. Bush (hereafter referred to as Bush Jr. to distinguish him from his father who was also a president), the final outcome hinged on how the vote went in Florida. Independent investigations in that state revealed serious irregularities directed mostly against ethnic minorities and low-income residents who usually voted heavily Democratic. Some 36,000 newly registered voters were turned away because their names had never been added to the voter rolls by Florida’s secretary of state Kathleen Harris. By virtue of the office she held, Harris presided over the state’s election process while herself being an active member of the Bush Jr. state-wide campaign committee. Other voters were turned away because they were declared--almost always incorrectly--“convicted felons.” In several Democratic precincts, state officials closed the polls early, leaving lines of would-be voters stranded.

Under orders from Governor Jeb Bush (Bush Jr.’s brother), state troopers near polling sites delayed people for hours while searching their cars. Some precincts required two photo IDs which many citizens do not have. The requirement under Florida law was only one photo ID. Passed just before the election, this law itself posed a special difficulty for low-income or elderly voters who did not have drivers licenses or other photo IDs. Uncounted ballot boxes went missing or were found in unexplained places or were never collected from certain African-American precincts. During the recount, GOP agitators shipped in from Washington D.C. by the Republican national leadership stormed the Dale County Canvassing Board, punched and kicked one of the officials, shouted and banged on their office doors, and generally created a climate of intimidation that caused the board to abandon its recount and accept the dubious pro-Bush tally.1

Then a five-to-four conservative majority on the U.S. Supreme Court in a logically tortured decision ruled that a complete recount in Florida would be a violation of the Fourteenth Amendment’s equal protection clause because different counties have different ways of counting the votes. At that point Gore was behind by only a few hundred or so votes in Florida and was gaining ground with each attempt at a recount. By preventing a complete tally, the justices handed Florida’s electoral votes and the presidency to Bush, a stolen election in which the conservative activists on the Supreme Court played a key role.

Even though Bush Jr. lost the nation’s popular vote to Gore by over half a million, he won the electoral college and the presidency itself. Florida was not the only problem. Similar abuses and mistreatment of voters and votes occurred in other parts of the country. A study by computer scientists and social scientists estimated that four to six million votes were left uncounted in the 2000 election.2..."

Al Gore did in fact concede the election, and that was in spite of winning the popular vote.

Good god Trump supporters are stupid.

Good god Trump supporters are stupid.

All Al Gore had to do was win his own state, the people who knew him best, and he failed.

Nothing more needs to be said.

Indeed they are. Lame Dork poster Markle is at the head of their class!

This vote isn't even going to be close enough to claim there were voting irregularities.

Thousands of Republican voters are going to do one of the following: (1) vote for Hillary Clinton, (2) vote 3rd party/write-in, (3) stay home or not vote for president.

Trump can't even win the support of Mormon Republicans in the blood-red state of Utah. Utah polls show Trump running neck-in-neck, if not behind a 3rd-party candidate, Evan McMullin, who didn't start his campaign until August, 2016, and who is on the ballot only in Utah.

Independent Presidential Candidate Evan McMullin Says GOP Leaders are 'Putting Party Over Principle'

Riding a surge of support in polls in Utah, independent presidential candidate Evan McMullin said he feels "very good" about his chances of winning the state, and accused the nation's Republican leaders of putting the interests of their party ahead of conservative principles and the good of the country.

"The reality is that the vast majority of Republican leaders are putting party ahead of principle and putting power over the interests of their own country," McMullin told George Stephanopoulos in an exclusive interview on ABC's "This Week."

McMullin argued that the GOP is going in the wrong direction with Trump as the nominee, and that he is skeptical the party can quickly make the changes needed to both return to conservative principles and appeal to a broad swath of American voters.

"It's going in the wrong direction, not the right direction, in its nomination of Donald Trump, but then also in standing by Trump even as he continues these bigoted, sexist, xenophobic messages to the United States," he said. "If the Republican Party can't make the changes, as it wasn't able to do after 2012 [presidential election], the conservative movement will need a new political vehicle."

That call for a new conservative party could take off with a win in Utah, which McMullin says would send a strong message to the country that voters "still stand on principle."

No independent candidate in a general presidential election has won all of a state's electoral votes since 1968, when segregationist George Wallace won the southern states of Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and Georgia.

McMullin is surging in polls in Utah and drawing crowds of Republican-leaning voters at his rallies who are apparently unhappy with their party's nominee but uninterested in Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton or Libertarian Gary Johnson, both of whose liberal stances on social issues like abortion and same-sex marriage turn off the heavily Mormon electorate in the Beehive State.

Still, McMullin, a former CIA operative and Republican congressional staffer, struggles from a lack of name recognition and a national party to support him. Asked if he hoped to gain a public endorsement from former Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney, a fellow Mormon, to boost his chances, McMullin said the support his campaign cares about is from "regular people across the country."

"They are the ones who are funding our campaign," McMullin said. "They are supporting us. They are carrying our message online, on social media. And that's the support that we care about."

Interesting article, Tel -- thanks. Too bad they can't see their way clear to support Hillary (not surprising), but a vote for McMullin is the next best thing, I suppose. Would love to see Trump lose the state.
