The decision to invade Iraq by the Bush cabal was the stupiset foreign policy blunder in the last 100 years. Why make one mistake worse by repeating it?

No. It should have been a complete pull out. 100%. The Saudis and Iranians need to fight their own war, and Israel and the Saudis destroying Syria was tacitly done with forty years of US policy. President Obama will be judged very favorably on getting America out of the middle east. 500 Americans in the middle east is 500 too many, but this mess in extraction is not the tow truck driver's fault.........anybody with a brain understands the deep seated divisions in Iraq which were utterly botched by the Bush constitutional plan.....utter arrogance. My only criticism of President Obama is that he did not cut and run like President Reagan. He took some heat, but it was the right decision.

Reagan's military blunders including sending the Marines to Lebanon to 'keep the peace' (more like: 'be targets'). He wisely extracted our forces after the Beirut bombing.
