The Clinton campaign started the issue. Now you liberals can shut up about it.

So, an unpaid volunteer staffer forwarded an email and was immediately canned, and that's your evidence that Clinton started the birther movement?

Brilliant analysis, idiot.

I must admit, Trump is somewhat of a genius when it comes to media manipulation. He gets a tarnished gold star on this story for sure. A quick search on line came up with a couple of references to the fact that at least in the early stages of this idea that Obama was not a US citizen or "natural born" or whatever, were in fact floated very briefly by supporters of Hillary during the 2008 primary. Staffers were quickly fired for these anonymous emails. I think it is quite a stretch, however, to try and pin this on the official Clinton staff since it seems to have been an unauthorized action by some minor volunteers. I don't think the idea would have gone undiscovered or uninvented by someone from the right since it has such a strong appeal to certain elements of anti-Obama types.

Trump's genius in this is that he came out with a flat statement saying he finally believes that Obama was born in this country (as if anyone cares what he believes anyway) and at the same time stirs the pot and throws it at Hillary while simultaneously getting the notion back in the headlines along with himself in all caps as usual.

Once again we are taking about chit topics instead of foreign policy, economic policy or asking whether or not Trump's tax returns are even being audited at all. He is one slippery customer! Sickening to see how he "works the room".

Please show us the site and link to that information. As is well known, the rumors of Sen. Barack Hussein Obama was started by the Hillary Clinton Campaign. From there it flourished and was encouraged by Sen. Obama by his refusal to show his long form Certificate of Live Birth. Why did he do that anyway?

Good God, Trump really is a walking dumpster fire. He spends years lying about President Obama's birthplace, then recants without explanation or apology, then lies again by claiming that Hillary Clinton started the birther movement, itself a total fabrication. The man is a complete sociopath.

It will be interesting to see how this goes over with his Deplorables. Likely they are beyond hope and will not care. More likely, though, that anyone who hated Trump already, like me for example, will hate him now even more. This election can't get any more farcical. Until tonight or tomorrow perhaps.

Excellent post that SAYS IT ALL, polecat. Agree about hating him now more than ever. He's a devious, phony, narcissistic snake in the grass, and heaven help this nation if he ends up in the Oval Office.

Sociopath is the correct term.

A sociopath can be defined as a person who has Antisocial Personality Disorder. This disorder is characterized by a disregard for the feelings of others, a lack of remorse or shame, manipulative behavior, unchecked egocentricity, and the ability to lie in order to achieve one's goals.

The problem is not Trump, but what motivates somebody like Pace to find this candidate attractive. There is something far more wrong with America than candidate Trump.......he is the tip of the iceberg. This nation needs dialogue. This nation needs to have cultural exchanges within our own nation......this problem will not go away with the defeat of Trump.

You think?? Of course it won't!! We'll have four or eight more years of congressional stubborn-ass gridlock, just with a different president.

The politics of this only explain part of the problem. America the cultural melting pot, has become a nation of gated communities, wealthy and poor, and a cultural abyss which feeds our political problems. Americans caring about fellow Americans has been replaced by further divisions and separation. The only place I see America mingling is at casinos........just like the strange social experiment in South Africa where races and cultures mixed at casinos.......yet society away from the casinos was apartheid. When people worship together, play together, fight together, and live together there is a bonding, yet the babyboomers mastered a generation of comfort and separation. I look at my brother's 13k square foot six million dollar home sitting in the gated community of desert mountain, his daily watching of Fox News, and his removal of his kids from public schools and putting them in exclusive private Christian schools, and better understand his support for Donald Trump. It would be scary without context, but he went to public schools with rich kids, poor kids, hispanics, muslims, and blacks, yet in his sixties now he has culturally insulated himself in Arizona in a 99.9% rich white environment with security and gates to keep any other culture out.......no this election will not solve the underlying divides in this nation.

It seems to me we have been kidding ourselves about the pot melting. I think there has been a lot of separation of the races and cultures across most of the country, if not all. Sure we had public schools but the student body was determined by the neighborhood and the neighborhood was determined by who could get mortgages. Red lining of races from certain areas and other "zoning" or use laws served to keep the races apart.

Perhaps at football or basketball games there is a better mix on the professional level than most of society. Art fairs, seafood festivals, things like that bring out a diverse crowd but I don't think things are getting worse. I think they've always been this bad and we just haven't been aware of it as white people. We wanted to think everything was zipping along just fine.

I grew up in diversity, and hope. I am now surrounded by despair and separation. Maybe the babyboomers aging have reverted to the values of their grandparents, but I think it is more complex. I am never happier sitting at a diverse poker table with people laughing and enjoying their differences......it is an experience which brings us out of our bubbles.

Funny, we don't see Hillary talking about anything of substance except how much a racist trump is when she is an even bigger racist.

I do not give a rat's tail about who is a better candidate. The very fact Trump is a candidate proves that there is no screening as to how low we have stooped. I do care who is hands down the better person to be President, and that determination requires intelligence and understanding experience and policy.

Killary has none. He is a candidate because the establishment GOP failed to deliver on stopping Obamas agendas when we put them in charge of the house and Senate.

Experience in corruption, botched policy, and deceiving the public is a terrible reason to elect her.

If you liked Hitler or Mussolini, you'll love Trump. With all her flaws, Hillary is absolutely the better choice. Only assholes fall for Trumps heavy line of pure, unadulterated bullshit. He's an arrogant, me-first and fuck everybody else kind of guy. Just the one you want for your leader! LOL

Another lie

Please give examples during her senate career where she used heavy handed authoritarian tactics. Republicans have said they enjoyed working with Hillary in the Senate and she worked hard to garnish their support for first responders health care legislation......please stop your ivory tower fantasy, and give some real examples of how she acted like Stalin and Mao in the Senate. Cowardly lies must be met with the truth.

Her most valued Foreign Policy advisor said it as well...

http://www.hannity.com/articles/hanpr-election-493995/clinton-advisor-sidney-blumenthal-told-press-15115969/

The former D.C. bureau chief for McClatchy claims that a representative from the Clinton campaign approached him about investigating the Obama "birther" claim in 2008. The new claim is casting doubt on the Clinton's denial that her campaign was the first to raise questions about President Barack Obama's place of birth.
In a recent tweet, former bureau chief James Asher said that in 2008 Sidney Blumenthal, a longtime Clinton staffer and confidant, told him "face-to-face" that Obama was born in Kenya.
Asher's tweets came shortly after CNN uncritically repeated Hillary Clinton's claim that her 2008 campaign never raised any questions about president Obama's birth.
