Not for me though. I cant even stay on the mechanical ones for more than a minute. I tried 3 times in gainsville once, cost me 30$ a for 3 rides a total of 15 seconds of laughter.....

I doubt they would have let her on drunk. sometimes us girls do stupid things on our own. especially when younger..

A few things...

I would count her in the "stupid" category. There's a very good reason why there is not a "women's" category for bull riding in PRCA: women simply do not have the upper body strength that men do, as noted by the "She looks like a rag doll" comment above which was seemingly taken straight from my own lips. The other thing is that any *reputable* rodeo association in THE STATES would never allow someone who was obviously drunk -- PARTICULARLY A WOMAN OR A MINOR -- to ride a bull, but it is entirely possible in Mexico. They simply are not as strictly regulated as we are in the North.

More important than being "scary," bull riding is extremely dangerous. Anyone with brains now rides wearing a Kevlar vest. I watched my friend, and my brother's competitor and friend, get stomped to death by a bull (while bull riding in a rodeo) here in my hometown when he was just 17 and I was 15-years old. Clearly, it is something I will never forget, and which haunts me. My brother continued to ride bulls after that, but switched to bronc riding and team roping the next season, deciding that the thrill, excitement, and the win were not worth his life. He still team ropes, and recently won the Wounded Warrior Team Roping event when the rodeo came through town.

I was tempted to give her credit for staying on the bull as long as she did (as poor of form as she had), but I choose to give her credit for precisely nothing besides being an idiot.

LOL I dont have that thing anymore. It was a little paper sticker they would give you for riding the bull at a club( bourbon st) in jax actually, not gainsville. I had it stuck to a leather jacket I was wearing. This event occured i guess 5 years ago. I know it was when florida state got beat by the gators in gains ville, because my daughter was going to school there and I went and watched the game with her, I was showing off my sticker to her friends when we all went out to that bar across the street from the florida stadium. it was very crowded. I was the rare FSU fan but I tell ya, guys bought me, my daughter and her friend a lot of drinks anyway....

and riceme, thats interesting story about rodeos. Ive only been to one or two rodeos, but ive riden horses a lot. a kevlar vest, youd a thunk it....hm
