Does Obama placate the Muslim Brotherhood by releasing Blind Sheik?

Rumor in certain circles was that the ambassador they killed in libya was a target unless they released this man.

our gov is about as pussified as spong bob square pants right now.

It is really hard to correct ignorance, and some argue that I am wasting my time trying to have intelligent conversations, but the man is serving a life sentence. The President cannot release someone from prison. He can have commutation of sentencee, and the department of corrections can release that person, but this was a criminal matter. The President is powerless to release someone from the executive branch unless he makes a formal commutation of the sentence of that person. However, some of the charges against the sheik were deferred by the State of NY because the feds got first bite of the apple. If the president gave a presidential commutation the state of NY would immediately indict and charge him for state charges of murder, and would revoke his bond.

So why repeat this obviously false report, unless its intended purpose is to create a complete fiction. No president would commute this man's sentence and to suggest the same is a complete failure to understand of the Presidents powers under the constitution as it relates to state law.

Please try to keep it simple.....you make better arguments. Also, an ox is strong, but man has domesticated this big strong dumb animal......mental strength is far more important than the illusion of macho.

ok... let's remember this. then if it happens how will the left respond. gitmo, civilian trials, warrantless wiretaps... etc... reversals haven't caused a blip on the screen yet. will the left ever get tired of supporting one thing... and then the exact opposite?

It'll be interesting to see how Obama acts when Morsi makes his first Presidential visit to the U.S. this week. Remember, Obama snubbed Netanyahu in favor of sitting down with his liberal buddies like Letterman and Whoppi. If Obama meets with this radical member of the muslim brotherhood he just puts another nail in his re-election coffin.
