No law has given banks and credit card companies more leverage to take more from poor people than that law. Only one Democrat Senator whose state had close ties to Credit Card companies who now is considered a progressive then Senator Biden who voted yes. President Obama voted NO. Poor people now take a mean test rather than the old straight 7, which forces people into huge bank paybacks in chapter 13s when folks are indentured servants for five years to the big banks......not the idea of our founding fathers wanting to be free of the curse of British Debt when they put bankruptcy in our constitution......but she showed her progressive nature by abstaining......the ultimate Hillary criticism I have had for years......playing the systems, and in this case adversely impacting tens of millions of middle class Americans.

Don't borrow money if you can't pay it back.

ah the mantra of somebody who has lived on the government teat and has built no business. Mr. Trump has filed three times and he may be our next President. Risk takers who have built this country never plan to not pay back, but Jefferson, Lincoln, walt disney, PT Barnum, Mark Twain, Henry Ford, and thousands of other people who built this nation filed bankruptcy because it is one of the most important constitutional rights. I just got two mortgages on two properties where the the CD rate in the lobby is less than 1%, yet on my lines they are getting 6.4% interest on their loan, and I know poor souls who have gotten title loans where they are paying 40% juice, so my answer to you is borrow the money......it is a contract......they stick you with rates which make sure they will profit even with defaults, and if a person cannot pay it back......discharge the debt in bankruptcy.....and get a fresh start. Bankruptcy is the equalizer in a rigged economic system, and when Senator Wellstone mysteriously killed in an airplane accident, those big banks and their shills in Congress indentured Middle class people whose houses were suddenly upside down because............cheating criminal banks and Wall Street......so in a fair game.......bankruptcy is the exception, but Henry Ford came back and changed America.....risk takers do not suck on the government teat.......wipe your mouth before you post here....

Ah you need to wipe your mouth before coming to the forum because it is a sure give away that you have been a government teat sucker your entire career, and a pretty good chance you are getting a government pension......now for the rest of us who actually take risk and build America.....to hell with the banks and wall street......they steal money but have to take very little risk with the rates, and then in 1985 they decided in their greed that they had to chase middle class folks for five years collecting money in FUTURE wages when historically a 7 brought a fresh start, not a five year indentured servant. Go Bernie....win or lose take those bastards down, and the shills they have bought.

Hillary and Bernie voted alike over 90% of the time the short time Hillary was in the Senate.
