I took taj Gibson of the Bulls. He comes off the bench normally, but Gasol has been cold on offense, and Noah banged his knee, so Gibson is going to get a lot more time, and I got him for nothing. That is where the folks with computer system and up to date player reports can make money on this. I feel good about my picks tonight. If I do not get higher than 50% of the folks who are playing, I will have to figure this is too hard for an average fan.

Good pick... I think that's the correct game theory to jump the masses. It may not hit average as often... but it gives you a chance to hit big.

Gasol is having a great game, and Noah is not having knee problems....I think Taj will have four points at half.....oh well.

these fantasy leagues are more about skill and stats than gambling. They are selling it as gambling, but like poker it is a skilled game. I lack the skills to compete against those who are much more analytic. I will try the NBA later this weekend, but have been traveling.

I would go ahead and take some chances... enjoy yourself. I don't expect illinois to be far behind NY prohibition.

With NY players no longer being legal, you now have to provide SS number, name, and address to continue playing. I gave them everything but the ss number because I have not won $600......and it is highly likely that I will lose my $200 and their $200 without ever seeing a winner. $5 on NBA tonight. I think I have picked the best in NBA, but I just cannot get into the money. Good line up tonight.

My highest finish yet on a five buck bet, but I took Kevin Durant not knowing he would not play and was out of the money by the very forty points his choice represented. I did well with Towns. I did not do well with McDermit and Taj from the Bulls. This is much harder than I thought. It definitely is skill based and information based. You need to have game time information which the general public does not have.

Not gutsy at all. You run out of points, and your picks are limited. If I could have taken the dollars I placed on Kevin Durant not knowing he was not playing and spread that around on a PF and SF, I would have been in the money. I was going to take Wesbrook, but took Kyle Lowery and Harden who both did ok, but you need to pick the top person at each position and Wesbrook was last night. It is very difficult and it is the low dollar people who as you correctly point out get you in the winner's circle. I am hopeless in football because of the lack of knowledge of injuries, but I am getting closer with basketball, and need to find a source of game time information before placing a bet.

People were skeptical of me saying that Steph Curry was the best since Michael Jordan......I am beginning to think this kid can surpass Jordan in Rings. They play defense and they play with confidence. I watched the LA game Thursday night and they had a 23 point lead in the first half and Curry just crushed them. I watched the Bulls play a great game and they had a ten point lead in the first half, and Curry crushed them. There has never been a player like Curry. If this is a fluke or a streak.....well it is quickly becoming apparent that he is special.

Given the choice of one warrior player for my new franchise...

I would take draymond green and then denzel valentine of msu with first draft choice.

I could plug role players into the lineup for ten years and win atleast as many titles as lebron.

Lebron is not in the same league as Curry, and his time has passed.  Curry plays his position and does not disrupt team chemistry and the dynamics of basketball.  Lebron is a great player, and there have been many, but in regard to championships......  With Curry the sky is the limit, and none of his teammates are complaining about how "hard" it is to play with him.


Everybody talked about how great the coaching was last year.....heck this team is evolving into greatness that almost any substitute for Kerr can win.  I have not seen this kind of unselfish team play, solid defense, and absolutely the best player in the game since Jordan's Bulls.

I just don't think curry will be durable... certainly not like a isiah or a poor example like iverson. Maybe he'll wind up just a three point shooter specialist after his joints are spent... but I don't see more than a few more years on that frame.
