It looks like his NFL career is over. He'll still walk away from the Raiders with $600K guaranteed. That is a nice chunk if he can manage his money well.

He's the first rocket surgeon from the university of papua new guinea to land on mars.

You don't need to know that... but you're going to look pretty dumb when he invents the warp drive.

He is a local football star who played RB Escambia High School, and also at the University of Alabama--you know, the Crimson Tide--under Nick Saban.

He left college early for the NFL in 2012 after he declared for the draft, and was picked high in the draft. He apparently had one good year with the Cleveland Browns, but was a flop in the NFL afterward; traded among different teams.

Now, he has no team, no college degree, a girlfriend with three kids (all his); and hopefully, he saved some of the money he did, in fact, earn as an NFL player (which still would eclipse the earning potential of probably everyone who posts on this forum, combined).

Ever seen ESPN 30 for 30 film ''Broke''

According to a 2009 Sports Illustrated article, 60 percent of former NBA players are broke within five years of retirement. By the time they have been retired for two years, 78% of former NFL players have gone bankrupt or are under financial stress. Sucked into bad investments, stalked by freeloaders, saddled with medical problems, and naturally prone to showing off, many pro athletes get shocked by harsh economic realities after years of living the high life.

Richardson didn't live the high life for very long. With no college degree and a baby-mama with 3 kids, his future options might be limited.

During a guest spot on "The Scott Van Pelt Show" on ESPN Radio (via ProFootballTalk.com), Jim Brown downplayed Richardson's game and lamented the NFL's move toward a more pass-happy culture.

"I'm not overwhelmed with it," Brown said of the prospect that his former team, the Cleveland Browns, could select Richardson. "The problem is that he's ordinary. I think he's ordinary."

What's ordinary about Richardson? "The size, the speed, his moves," he said.

Brown suggested that if Richardson couldn't start ahead of New Orleans Saints running back Mark Ingram at Alabama (another guy that bores him), there's no reason to believe he'll be a better player than Ingram in the pros.

Thank you. I thought he might be someone local. I don't follow FSU as close as I did some years ago but an still familiar with most of the top players names.
