I dont necessarily buy into that.

My physical body is just a temporary vessel. All my experiances are exactly what they are supposed to be.

In a way trying to preserve things that are supposed to go away, like life, the earth etc are in a way idol worshiping. Not that I neccessarily buy into that either.

Here's where I think your train of thought has gone off the rails with this thread: the jerk in Florida doesn't have anything to do with the film being protested in Libya. How he got dragged into the story is beyond me. Here's what I'm talking about. I saw the same information on CNN while out running errands today.

I stand corrected.
But in my humble defense, I turned on the cable tv newsotainment this morning and at that time Jones' name on the story was in bigger fonts than that of Bacille. So if my train went off the rails it was because the media didn't maintain the track properly. lol

Now we know we have to be on guard against misleading FONTS for crying out loud.
Which media outlet, may I inquire, was falsely bringing the Florida kook into this story that had nothing to do with him at all? Did he really make his own video or did people just take videos of him burning the books? I can't remember.

ABC News had a story on Sam Bacille (is that a play on "imbecile"?) tonight. They made him look like he was elusive or maybe not even a real person at all. There was a rumor that the movie was shown in Hollywood, but no one attended the screening... and ABC couldn't locate even which theater participated.

This has Teo written all over it... Like it was made with the only purpose was to drag us into another war. I mean, why would someone make this movie in the first place, then dub Egyptian language onto it, then drop it off for the Egyptians to go berserk over?

by youtube or anyone blocking these vids in this country is a clear act of suppressing freedom of speech out of fear of retribution. That is sucumbing to terrorism.

YouTube, a part of Google, is a business. Businesses can decide what is acceptable for their web site, and I support that. The video could have been taken down due to copyright infringement, I dunno.

Now, if our GOVERNMENT made YouTube take it down, that would be infringing upon free speech.

Those are location-specific "problems". The Internet, in the USA at least, doesn't have those kinds of problems... Except for child pornography and copyright infringement, and threatening the President with bodily harm. (There may be others that I cannot think of.)

Although I believe it isn't in America's best interests for this video to be "online", I'll defend the right of the scumbag that made it to keep it on the Internet.

Well I just got around to forcing myself to sit through the whole trailer or clip or whatever it is.
