What has semi-retired President Obama demanded from Cuba in exchange for Political ties to the US?

What's more, as is typical of semi-retired President Obama, what has he given up?

Will President Obama turn over Gitmo to Castro?  What a political victory for the Castro government that one would be.

Has President Obama demanded the release of the political prisoners?

Has President Obama agreed to stop American broadcasts to Cuba?

Has President Obama secured the extradition of all the US criminals currently living in Cuba?

OR...far more likely, President Obama's suit legs are getting holes in the knees.

Our colonial treatment of Cuba as our multinational corporations raped the nation from the twenties through the late fifties when the corrupt Batista regime was toppled and Castro came to Washington wanting to get support where he was rejected, not because he was a threat to the United States, but because he was a threat to a corrupt Oligarchy.  Castro radicalized as a former baseball star who loved America because we did not want our corrupt interests in Cuba to be stopped from exploiting the Cuban people.

The more Cuba was isolated the more Cuban policy was oppressive to the Cuban  people as Castro tried to export communism throughout Latin America and Africa.   In 2015 the relevancy of 1960 Cuba is very little, and Cuba can improve America's GDP and open a huge market to multinationals who play much fairer and are not trying to control the Cuban government and exploit their people.  President Obama and most intelligent people understand the history and the reality of Cuba today which is far from perfect, but continuing an embargo which hurts America and Cuba.....stupid on steroids.

Typical Progressive DODGE.

The questions are simple...

What a stupid question.

The United States' policy on Cuba was ridiculous, unjust, and kept in place far too long.

Who are we to demand anything from Cuba.

What did we get in exchange is an opening to a huge market which will allow our midwest farmers to sell their products in Cuba......you really are this clueless.  American business has been chomping at the bit to have normal relations.

Now is the perfect opportunity to close GITMO and give it back to the Cubans.

The new diplomatic ties will have massive effects on Florida in a very positive way. The Port of Pensacola is going to benefit from all of this.

I read that while President Obama can lift some of the sanctions against Cuba, it will take Congress to undo the rest. Getting John Boehner's Congress to act on this might be hard to do. If so, it may be time to write some new Executive Orders.

The Chamber of commerce will be pushing for full relations.  Al, Ms, Ar, and louisiana are smaller than the market represented by Cuba.  Huge benefits for Pensacola if trade opens up......Mr. Markle thinks this is about politics.....yea if you are a sugar beet farmer in Oregon, but the economic benefits to America will be immediate.  Cuba will get hard currency the same way Florida does.....tourism, and the Cuban people will finally be on a path to freedom.

So a country which is almost thirty fold the size of another puts an economic trade embargo on the smaller country and does so for over fifty years and you expect that country to have free and open markets.......I am trying to find the door to your ivory tower, but damn my eye sight must be getting weak, I just do not see it.
