The cops said they needed to talk to Loftus because he had “purchased a large amount of ammunition.”
Loftus said the police told him someone who was in the
gun store while he made the purchase who works for the Chief of Police
reported Loftus to make sure he “wasn’t going to do something crazy.”
Loftus told the police he had no criminal record, a fact
they immediately confirmed having admitted that they had already
checked his record. Loftus told the police they shouldn’t even be
