Why does DHS need enough guns and ammo to cap all of us 6x over?

Perhaps Obama's new security force bigger and just as well armed as the US Military are very bad shots...

or perhaps they figure they want to keep up training standards when all the ammo dries up before they decide its time to take whatever action they want. its already getting difficult not only to find ammo in many calibers (especially for a reasonable price) but also to find certain reloading supplies such as primers.

In 2008, during his campaign, he said he wanted one as powerful and as capable as the current military.

In view of the pseudo paramilitary 'militia' talk among a small but vocal group it now seems prudent that our domestic law enforcement is more than adequately prepared for any contingency.

Just incase the military won't fire on the american citizenry.

We already went through this last year. DHS purchases guns and ammo every year. This is nothing new. Last year when this happened, conservatives flipped out - including many on this forum - claiming that we were headed for martial law and that the government had a clandestine plot to turn on its citizens. This was all over AM talk radio, Fox news, blogs, online forums. Hell, PACEDOG, I suspect that you even probably created a few threads about it on this forum.

Later it turned out that, oops, DHS purchases this ammo regularly for some sort of hand gun proficiency training. Conservatives naturally did not accept this and insisted that we would see full blown martial law by October of last year. Clearly this turned out to be yet another nutjob conspiracy theory and the story went away. Until today, I suppose.

OK. Since we are in round two of this BS, how about some of you man up and give us some hard predictions here? When will Obama and his army of DHS workers rise up and do whatever it is you think they plan to do? When should we expect to see martial law in the US? Lock your predictions in here and then we will see if: 1) this story is completely full of shit or 2) you were actually on to something the second time around..
