Not even his kids. HE went to an exclusive private school in Hawaii before he went to Occidental, Columbia and Harvard...all cheap schools.

Of course HE and HIS kids are entitled to the very best, most expensive educations but...not the middle income or lower income people.

Washington DC had a system in place for low and disadvantaged families to use vouchers to send their children to a school of their choice. The program was working extremely well. Several such disadvantaged children were attending the same private school as are the daughters of semi-retired President Obama.

The unions stepped in and prevented continuing the program when they had that included in the infamous STIMULUS package. It certainly does appear that the Obama family did not want that riff raff attending "their" school

Too funny......Amy Carter attended a public school and could not go to recess because of the security concerns. Comparing security concerns for not only the President's children, but other high profile Washington children is silly and purely political, and has much less to do with wealth than the high profile nature of what their parents do.

However, in Chicago he sent his kids to UC lab school.....the University of Chicago blows away almost any college in the nation and its lab school in notorious as one of the best in the nation. However, Chicago Public schools have great magnet schools, but the truth is the Obama children probably would not qualify on objective testing. The too funny part is that somebody trying to gut public schools thinks that a poor person with vouchers would get a similar deal as a president's children, or a senator's child.

What's funny is that you didn't answer the question. You promulgated multiple red herrings to deftly skip answering the original point of the thread. You're like the idiot at the baseball game the other night who questioned the balk of his pitcher and then wanted to point out something (he thought) was a missed call two innings earlier. The wealthy pay for their kids to go to private school while also paying taxes that support public school.

Here's a wild idea! Come up with a solution.

Not only the wealthy send their kids to private schools. I and my siblings were all enrolled in Catholic elementary school. I don't know how my parents afforded that when we were all there at the same time...plus the cost of uniforms. My children attended a local Christian school for 3 years before transferring to public school. They were outstanding students...both of them...no matter what school they attended.
