Freedom of speech DOES NOT mean you can draw a picture of the most exalted his majesty and his lordship mohammed, praise be to him, and expect to get away with it.  It's not allowed.  And don't take those milk duds into the movie theater cause that aint allowed neither.

Seems like bait and shoot to me.  So called American Freedom something or other sets up a "free speech" exhibition.  Do they not think someone is going to be offended and shoot?  Sure they did.  So they can shoot back.

But, even when these cretins breach the peace by inciting violence, the attackers remain culpable.

Both the inciters and the attackers are cancers on free societies.

I feel certain that champagne corks are popping at the American Freedom Defense Institute.

Their only regret would be that one or more of the cartoonists weren't "martyred".

Well of course we don't expect to be shot and killed because we find something funny. I would have been dead years ago. I always have had sarcastic and funny thoughts about many things in the Bible. My name may have been called out in full to me by my mother or a Sunday School teacher but I'm still here.

We're wired differently (no not for bombs) in our way of life and beliefs than these two who came up and fired shots at the security officers of this event.

I still say Geller and her clan (notice no K) set up the bait.

I would NOT attend a function where "art" makes fun of someones religion.

Would I think some of the cartoons are funny? Yes. That's just me. I'm laughing for the sake of enjoying good humor (oh maybe sneak in ice cream to the movies!) and not to slam someone.

Unfortunate incident in Garland. Geller incited and hoped guns would be blasting. Oh by the way, has she been on the news??????? Anyone interviewing her so she can spread her message?????

Do I blame the ones hosting and propagating hate through sarcasm/comedy/cartoons for the two men firing on the security guards? NO

Could the incident have been avoided? Yes with no treads upon freedoms given in the Constitution.

Who said anything about political correctness?  I said one can have freedom to do and say just about anything but can we make a call of discernment on what is the better thing to do??  Do unto others as you would have them do unto you?

I think the display of "art" or display of this "freedom of speech" with these "cartoons" is inflammatory and LACKS DISCERNMENT.  

But they are free to do as they please and I suppose they are free to get beheaded and shot by Islamists, too.
