The drought let me complete my causeway

This time of year there is usually two feet of water in this low area......I would need to use an excavator, but it was bone dry until it rained yesterday and I completed it soil conditioned and planted grass seed before the rain.....good week.

The floods of 2008 had four feet of water over the top of the causeway.....8 of the 10 top flood events in 110 years on this river system in the last 11 years, and now a drought where my dog can walk into the middle of the river where it is usually 6 feet deep.......we screwed the pooch.
