I am all ears Neville Chamberlains. Rationalize making a deal with a country who wants nukes, but also says "death to you." Wouldn't that be like handing a gun to a guy who says he wants to kill you?

Really?  The main reason for Iran to acquire nuclear weapons would be to counter those of Israel.

It always struck me as ironic that nations who have developed nuclear weapons have determined that no other nations should attain the same, but when asked to get rid of their weapons........there is a uniform response.....NO.

Iran, Iraq, and Afghanastan pose NO threat to the United States or our critical strategic interests. When they do, I will buy into a response. In the mean time the allies are attempting a diplomatic solution to more nuclear proliferation. I am hopeful, but in the end it is 1940 technology and it has spread much further than we are being told.

What blood? And we give far more treasure to the nations that surround Israel than Israel itself. Those F-16s and M1A1 tanks Egypt has will eventually be pointed towards Israel. Israel has NEVER asked us to spill one drop of blood for them. They would have been more than happy to take on Saddam over SCUDs in first Gulf War.

A couple of dirty bombs could end Israel as we know it......do not need a nuclear bomb, but simply need radioactive materials to leave thousands of square miles of Israel as unhabitable.........those dirty bombs are available and have been available for twenty years........this discussion of Iran has everything to do with propping up Israel and Saudi Arabia, and the undemocratic traditions of the middle east. We can be good friends with Israel without committing AGAIN American kids fighting instead of Israelis......we should be a safety net, not the cannon fodder for another nation's interests.
