Never more true are these words spoken by Ronald Reagan. I'm sure it will cause butthurt to flow, but from where I sit these are words you liberals errrrrrr Neville Chamberlains need to digest if you have the cahones to watch from start to finish.

Karl just can't get over the fact that the U.S. is not going to support that hair-brained attack on Iran that Bibi Netanyahu is screaming for like a petulant child who cannot get his way.

If Israel wants to do this on its own, it will receive not one thin dime of support from America. That is just a plain fact.

I remember back in 1981, after Israel's attack on the reactor at Osirak, Iraq, Reagan issued an EO holding up delivery of a bunch of F-16s to Israel. If Israel goes ahead and rashly attacks Iran, Obama could do the same thing and cancel or hold up delivery of the new F-35 Lightning II stealth jets Israel has on order with Lockheed.

Bibi has much to lose if he brashly goes ahead with this on his own.

Au contrare fly boy.....Israel was going to launch it's own attacks without US support just last year and OBUMMER threatened to shoot down any planes that crossed into Iraqi air space....so you can "eat it with a spoon" on thinking that Israel can't carry out these strikes by themselves. Reread the message board and see my thread about it. The F-35 is a POS and you know it. It still hasn't been cleared to do much more than fly training missions. It's yet to be tested in combat and when it went up against Navy F-18s, it "was locked on and cleared dead" before the F-35 pilots knew what was happening.

It was more blustering from Bibi Nutheadyahoo. I doubt he will do this now, and if he tries to push it, there are moderates in the Israeli government and military who will put his idea on ice.

Bibi is no different than Iran's former president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. Both are blustering loudmouths who do not understand that their bombastic talk can lead the world to real trouble.

Also Seaoat, the main job of the Marines was to 1) save the PLO from annihilation at the hands of the IDF which was accomplished and 2) to keep the warring factions at the airport from taking over that area and halting commerce. That was accomplished as well. Once the UN wasnt going to send troops to replace the Marines, Reagan pulled them out.

You desperately need to recognize that Reagan never saw combat  His job was to make movies for the war effort.  He was always pretending.  Grandstanding was his profession.  Considering that your ilk is always overpowered by appearance and not substance, it's no wonder you still idolize piece of fluff.

That he did.... But, he did it the wrong way. He was a cheapskate who decided to borrow heavily against the future to have prosperity in his day. He cut taxes, greatly enlarged the military, and also greatly expanded the overall government.

He said: "Look, the Federal Reserve will give us all of the funny money we want for all of this, so don't worry..."

He laid the groundwork for all future deficit spending by the government, which only got worse as the years went by. Now the future he was not worried about is here. Both Democrats and Republicans are to blame for this, too.

Someone should have taken Ronnie's credit card away after his first couple of budgets and forced the country to face reality. Reagan was bad for this country.
