When the U.S. Congress emboldens hotheads like Benjamin Netanyahu by inviting him to address the HOR, it only makes Bibi think that he owns the Congress and can do whatever he wants to.

I was wondering if Obama would meet with the Israeli PM...... Bibi Netanyahu is a narcissistic hothead who has control over a bunch of undeclared nuclear weapons. If anyone is a danger to the region and the world, Bibi is.

Good is right!

The reason stated by the White House:
“As a matter of long-standing practice and principle, we do not see heads of state or candidates in close proximity to their elections, so as to avoid the appearance of influencing a democratic election in a foreign country"

a totally appropriate barb directed at Netanyahu

Incredible hubris on the part of Boehner, breaking protocol by not clearing it with the White House. Sensitive (to say the least) subject matter and the bastards are playing politics. Dear God.

This could backfire on both Bibi and Bonehead . . . . . we will see.

I have one message to both Bibi and that latent alcoholic, John Boehner:

screw Bibi and Boehner -- they're both sneaky, underhanded rabblerousers.

In truth, the entire MidEast chaos began with the conflict between Israel and Palestine. Despite the difference in their religions, the Israeli Jews and the Palestinian Muslims are intractable enemies and until their differences are solved, one way or another, there will be no peace. Both sides of this conflict have legitimate grievances.

The Arabs will support the Palestinians, and we will support Israel.

Where the hell do we all go from here?

I think President Obama will file a lawsuit.....oh, I forgot he is not a checker player......he will set both parties up like he set the Republicans up at the State of the Union speech. 90% of Americans support Israel, but that support stops with over 90% of Americans who would not like any nation who controls our Congress and tries to undercut our interests. If the Israelis think this is smart, they are getting very bad advice. Sometimes it is better to shut up and sit down, but if the Republicans think this is going to help them......they have no idea of the backlash......the Israelis are chess players, what could possibly motivate them to so miscalculate?

What a bunch of CaCa. Pro-Israeli interests have bought politicians on both sides. What a partisan hack....

House Democrats have made it clear that they do not approve of this ratfuckery, and Bibi is being roundly criticized at home, here, and in the international community.

John Boehner is a traitor.

Apparently, politics no longer stops at the water's edge.

Islamic extremists are no longer the greatest threat to the United States.

The greatest threat to the Unites States are the assholes bent on embroiling us in a worthless, deleterious, and ultimately unwinnable war with Iran, some of whom roam the halls of Congress.

With posters like Markle and Karl Rove cheerleading them along the way....

THANKFULLY Obama has pushed back against the nuts who want to attack Iran. For this I give our president two thumbs up!

The attack on Iran has been a Neocon wet-dream for many years. They jizz their drawers just thinking about it. They don't care about the consequences.

Yes, Obama supports Iran who just overthrew the democratically elected government of Yemen we were supporting. Does Obama always support losers?

Most Americans support the continuation of diplomatic talks with Iran. So, do you stand with Americans or with Netanyahu trying to influence Congress?

PaceDog always stands with Israel first, and America second.

Relations between the U.S. and Israel are at a new low, because Netanyahu is trying to undermine the Administration's efforts to get the peace-process back on track. Netanyahu also wants the U.S. to help Israel start a war with Iran.

The President needs to tell Bibi to STFU. Maybe he should just put a hold on the brand new F-35 fighter jets the U.S. taxpayers have so generously bought for the Israelis to show Bibi where his bread is buttered from.

And the President needs to tell John Boehner to KMA. What an asshole for working with Bibi to set this whole charade up.

I salute President Obama's efforts to stop Bibi's efforts to "wag the dog" by the tail. The Zionists do not rule the United States, no matter how much they might think they do.

Iran is no military threat to the U.S.

Israel has nukes, remember? They can defend themselves. The true test is, can they show restraint like other nuclear-armed nations do?

The worst thing that ever happened was when Nixon told Israel it could have its nukes, just don't tell anyone about it. They should declare their arsenal and be ready to face any consequences for having it. That includes your non-nuclear neighbors wanting nukes too. That is why you engage your enemies diplomatically to reduce the threat. The U.S. and Soviet Union managed to do this successfully.

An even bigger reason for the U.S. to promote domestic oil and gas production while at the same time promoting energy efficiency across the board and the determined effort to ultimately get away from being overly-dependent on fossil fuels. To do this, effectively, the Republican Party needs to stop pooh-poohing wind and solar and promote their development, and promote moving the transportation sector away from liquid fuels (gasoline and diesel) derived from petroleum.

I don't push this stuff because I am a closeted climate-change fanatic. I  push it because my studies on energy have shown me that the age of petroleum largely comes to an end during the 21st Century. Technology has given us about a 50 year reprieve and if it is played right, the U.S., Canada, and Mexico will rule the roost and replace the Saudis as the center of the world's energy production. The key is to use less oil ourselves and sell it to everyone else at inflated prices. Perhaps if we do this right, we can also sell the technology to harness and employ energy outside of petroleum. I am sure the climate-change folks will disagree with me on a lot of this.....

But, if we f**k it all up, the alternative is to engage in warfare over oil that comes from the volatile Middle East. John Boehner had better be careful how he deals with Bibi Netanyahu, as Bibi is a firecracker that could explode in his hand.

Hell... Obama better be careful with how he appeased iran. The shia now have the saudis surrounded.

Iran could wind up running the entire me as a caliphate... but even if out it goes the other way it's a clusterfuck.

I hope we get the hell out of there... but obama has intervened for our "interests" repeatedly.
