Winston, Fisher look towards future after Noles' historic run
http://www.tallahassee.com/story/sports/college/fsu/football/2015/01/02/winston-fisher-look-towards-future-noles-historic-run/21213383/

"...After the game, Winston said his focus is "on next season and playing baseball," and not entering his name into the 2015 NFL Draft..."

FSU fanatics should be happy about that.... However, Winston's attitude kinda sucks after Oregon's blowout of his team yesterday. He was saying things to the media after the game about how the FSU offense was never stopped by Oregon, but by mistakes the Noles made. Afterward, he wrote a tweet, that said in part: "What an amazing year we still will have the same # of Ls as the champ #LMAO" (yes, Jameis, except your "L" will become a classic re-run on ESPN for years to come).

Oregon center Hroniss Grasu finally put things in their proper perspective, saying to CBS Sports Dennis Dodd: "We beat them physically, we beat them mentally and our coaches outcoached them."

To Winston's credit, I have read that he takes his academics at FSU very seriously, wants to earn a degree, and holds a 3.4 GPA. He apparently had a 4.0 GPA in high school. Smart kid.

Rose Bowl: ESPN, Oregon owe FSU an apology

Bianchi

PASADENA, Calif. — Running off at the typewriter …
Believe me, I get it that Florida State is not well-liked and the nation's sports fans gleefully celebrated about the Seminoles getting pummeled by Oregon in the Rose Bowl, but the piling on by the national media has reached ridiculous proportions.
A perfect example came after the game on Thursday night when ESPN analyst Kirk Herbstreit called out the many FSU players who exited the field without shaking hands with Oregon. "That's disappointing that more than 70 percent of the Florida State team is in the locker room. It's easy to go across when you win a game to shake hands. You lose a game after 29 games and you can't go over and shake a hand of an Oregon player and tell him, 'Congratulations?' "

You would have thought Herbstreit had never covered a college football game before. Good grief, this isn't Little League Baseball where it's traditional for teams to form a line and shake hands. I've gone to a zillion college games, and here's how it works: Some players stay on the field afterward to fraternize with the opposition (asJameis Winston did after the Rose Bowl) and others head straight to the locker room. In fact, if you watched the Sugar Bowl, many Alabama players didn't stick around to shake hands with Ohio State players after the game, but nobody called out the Crimson Tide for their lack of sportsmanship.
Why? Because FSU has been fitted with the black hat, and it's trendy to portray the Seminoles as a bunch of classless renegades even when they're just doing what every team does.
And, by the way, why didn't ESPN call out Oregon's players, several of whom were caught on camera mimicking FSU's tomahawk chop while chanting, "No means no!" — an obvious reference to Winston being investigated for sexual assault.

Hey, Herbie, does it get anymore classless than that?
SHORT STUFF: By the way, I hate to say, "I told you so," to Alabama fans, but don't say that I didn't warn you. When Urban Meyer showed up for a press conference out at Disney a couple of weeks ago and I saw the intense laser-like focus in his eyes, it reminded me of his early days at Florida. "Beware, Bama," I wrote then. "Be worried. Be very worried. The Urbanator is back." I offer the same warning to Oregon. You, too, are about to feel the wrath and be sucked down into the Urban mire. … Breaking news: FSU just fumbled again!!! … By the way, I understand everybody having fun at the Seminoles' expense, but what I don't get is Gator fans piling on after FSU's loss. If you're scoring at home, Gator Nation, FSU has lost once in 30 games to arguably the best team in the country; UF has lost 13 times in 23 games to teams like Georgia Southern and Vanderbilt. So hush up. …[/size]

Wow this is all so Biblical...And noles was thus slain and gat no respect from the gloating victor and yea the countenance of those watching hath fallen and a great gloom fell upon the land and everyman was thus angered and for cause would fight and perhaps die to defend his beloved warriors of the oblong ball....

Talk about religious zealots...guess I will never understand your faith, it's so Muslim extremist like, all about power revenge and 72 cheerleaders....
