This should come as no surprise.

We see this kind of complete lack of analytical and even reading comprehension skills here every single day.

Still, this is just pathetic .....

Q: Do you think the U.S. economic system (generally favors the wealthy) or (is fair to most Americans)?

Generally favors the wealthy 71%
Is fair to most Americans 24%

Other polls show something ironic: People trust Republicans more than Democrats to fix this and make the economy favor regular people again.

Here's another irony: With the annual budget deficit down two-thirds from what it was when President Bush left it, people think it's worse. This is from the October 13 Gallup poll: "The GOP's lead on the federal budget deficit has also widened, to 20 points from 14 points in April, and is now higher than at any other time during Barack Obama's presidency." That last one is not a poll of opinion, that's a poll of people's understanding of basic facts. The deficit is way, way, way, way down, but people think it's up.

http://ourfuture.org/20141028/polling-irony-people-think-economy-is-rigged-trust-republicans-to-fix

This is the political equivalent of Creationism.

We are truly and completely fucked.

What is more important is the fact that the debt is is way, way, way, way up. The fact that the deficit is lower pales in comparison to the increasing debt.

The keynesian intervention has been extraordinary... the cost unprecedented... the numbers on govt dole growing.

But any hopes that pubs will counter those trends is however... delusional. Bush2 made those same promises.

The debt is in part a function of the annual budget. Obama - just like any other president - has no control of the budget that he inherits. All any administration can do is seek to improve the situation that they inherit. Obama inherited an annual deficit that exceeded $1 trillion. Again, all that his administration can do is work to improve that. No one can take a $1 trillion+ deficit and eliminate it in one year without extreme economic consequences, hence the gradual tapering that we have seen that has ultimately cut the deficit by more than half.

Pointing out again and again the fact that the debt has increased only shows that you don't have a firm grasp on how this stuff works.

Here is a quick litmus test for our forum republicans.  All you have to do is answer one question.

Question:  Has the deficit situation improved under the Obama administration?

Hint:

Last Clinton budget (2001): $156.9 billion surplus

Last Bush budget (2009): $1.4 trillion deficit

Last Obama budget (2014): $486 billion deficit

Keynes did not advocate bailing out banks. To insinuate that Keynesian theory is responsible for the economic catastrophe of 2008 under the administration of George W Bush is to demonstrate a basic ignorance of economic principles.

BOF,

Your boy has had 5 years and 10 months to fix it. He campaigned in 2008 saying that if he couldn't fix it, he wouldn't deserve another term of office. We see he lied and ran again anyhow.

Yes.  And in that 5 years and 10 months, the deficit has steadily improved.  I realize you don't understand anything I'm saying as that would require a sense of reading comprehension on your part.

Here.  Look at the color coded picture that I have posted for you again and again. Do you notice any trend under the Obama administration, PACEDOG?

Has the deficit situation improved under Obama, PACEDOG?

Steadily improved ? Only a Democrat could tax the piss out of someone and still spend more than they take in and equate that to something positive.

--------

It's not been a tapering of spending whatsoever.... It's been a steady increase of taxation on the middle class who can least afford the burden.

Government spending by year:

Funny BOF, you don't put the intake of revenue along side the spending figures ..... Lol is that because like all Dems Obama always spends more than he takes in?

Yes, every year he has done so.
