Healthcare Worker in Texas Infected with Ebola

If people think that disease and the risk of disease has been eliminated from America, they are living in Disney World. Investment in the Public Health infrastructure takes dollars. Dollars spent on Americans. If government has no function other than to steal at the beck and call of special interests, then the Republicans in the House can foresake every bill which deals with Americans. If Government has a purpose to provide for the General Welfare of Americans, then resources will need to be allocated for those known risks. The over reaction to Ebola is more a symptom of keeping Americans scared than a real health threat. Tens of thousands of Americans die each year from those stricken with the disease of alcoholism, and yet we take no actions other than enriching the very people who profit from the sale of alcohol.

ppaca wrote:Dr Richard Bessemer was on the news this evening, he came right out and said most hospital's and health care worker's are not prepared for this and the ebola patients in Texas should have been sent to one of 4 hospital's in the states that have been treating it, it should stay contained in one of those 4 and not spread around from hospital to hospital. Makes a hell of a lot of sense. Then when it's contained and no new cases I say burn those 4 hospital's to the ground.
