That's news? It would have happened under a GOP presidency, too.

Negative

I have to agree with Pace on this one......there will not be a Republican President in the next twenty years.

You lie

2seaoat

how can what has not happened be a lie now. It is merely a prediction which after you have been wrong on the last two elections, I thought you had cleared your head. I must have been wrong. You actually believe a Republican can win in 2016-20-24

This soon?

You know this how?

Because someone with good business sense would have gotten us out of the recession and on to a robust economy?

I'd be interested in the results had there been no extraordinary govt intervention. Does anyone know those numbers?

or if the raw numbers were used which has China 6.5 trillion behind us......the IMF index is not GDP, but I did not want to break the bad news to our economic expert.

Oh... The extraordinary measures that enriched the richest among us? How very far sieghted of you.

While you damn well know you are harming the future. You're a terrible stewart.

The banks paid all the money back with interest.

Had the auto companies been allowed to go through a normal bankruptcy instead of the one paid for by tax payers we'd have been much further ahead.

The auto companies would have been bought by other companies with superior management, ideas and plans. Instead, they have the same management, same unions, same bad ideas.

Chrysler might be different. After all, they are no longer an American auto maker but rather an Italian car maker.

Obama or as Seaoat has called him .... The half Caucasian ..... Has brought nothing but blight on the economy by doubling the national debt and continuing to run annual deficits each year despite record taxation and revenue collection

The deficit has been steadily reducing. Try dealing with facts once in awhile, just for the fun of it.

You're a teacher? LOL

The record taxation you refer to has been foisted on the middle and lower economic classes, while the rich have had their tax rates reduced.

In simple terms, the majority of us are being screwed so guys like the Koch Bros. have more to play with.

Screw America Inc.!!

As spelled by years by my good friend Wordslinger. Perhaps a bit of senility is setting in?

As for your comment on the tax rates, you have lied. But because of your Socialist/Communist philosophy, I'm sure that's just hunky dory for you!

You miss the obvious and most important issue... housing, wages, and food. Don't get distracted...

I've seen you speak to this before.

Stay tuned for student loans and other social angles... they are loaded and ready.

Ever wondered how many of us can get on the dole before the system collapses? Perhaps you should.

Annual deficit and national debt are two separate things. You call yourself informed? You're a clueless hack for Obama the worst Potus ever.

Our national debt has risen each year under Obama as
he continues to spend more than we take in each year creating an annual DEFICIT. Even with record tax
revenue, Obama adds to the national debt because he has to borrow more and more.

Annual deficit - money we spend beyond our income and while the amount we continue to borrow each year might be less than the year before, it adds to the national debt.

National debt- money owed on a continuous spread sheet that is the sun total of many years where the US has had an annual deficit (see above).

We are 18 trillion in the hole because people like wordslinger and Seaoat are a generation of spenders. They are all about spending money they will never have to repay.

It's not just the debt they are piling on future generations... they are also fundamentally limiting economic growth.

What could go wrong? I now firmly believe we have been designed to fail... Yea team..!!

And you think Mitt Romney would not have run a huge deficit had he been elected? You are an idiot. Romney was all set to ramp defense spending up from its already boated share of the budget pie, and the only way he could have done this is by running a deficit. Romney's deficits might have been bigger than Obamas.

Money spent is money spent. The only difference is that Democrats are going to cut defense while giving out free handouts and never reduce the actual budget. Sort of like when the state of Florida OKed the lottery for education. The money that would have been spent on education was diverted elsewhere and lottery funding tool the place of money removed from that budget for PORK in other places.

At least with defense, people are being productive, earning a paycheck, paying taxes, and in turn helping the government in the long run. What return on the investment of handouts does the government receive in return for its effort? Hardly any.

People in defense are being productive? Explain why Abrams tanks are still being produced and stored when even the army doesn't want any more. That's productive? How about adding a new carrier or two to a Navy already bloated with such ships? Or, take the F35 -- please.

While we pour money down the rabbit hole of military spending, the Germans, Japanese, and Chinese are buying state of the art CNC machines which increase the GDP and bring economic power to the nation. A tank sitting in storage in AZ produces nothing. So when Butchmeup and all the other scardy cats are frightened that ISIS is going to kill all of us........they want to throw more money down the rabbit hole and make this nation weaker. We need to be economically strong before we can be militarily strong. The choices are clear.

Social security alone equals the military budget. You can't be serious about cutting govt without cutting entitlements.
