Just read an interesting article comparing what we pay in taxes and where it goes. JP Morgan recieves 77 percent of its profits in the form of taxpayer subsidies. GE is another heavy hitter. Why dont we quit blaming food stamp recipients and go after the real welfare moochers?

It is not by accident that the food stamp stereotype persists. It divides us. Divided we are deadlocked. Deadlocked we will not address the abuses of subsidy and crony capitalism. Racism is merely a clever tool used by the propagandist to empower the Oligarchy with proportionally too much power where in a democracy low intelligence voters are continually convinced to vote against their economic interests as the semi backs up to the building and steals America's wealth.......this really is not that complicated, and there are real solutions at the ballot box. Yes, the fraud and corruption in food stamps should be addressed as should every crony capitalist subsidy which brings this nation to our knees. We have the best bought and paid for congress money can buy, and until we get issue specific and focused on jobs and building our middle class.....divisive politics is the norm and totally foreseeable.

Unfortunately, we have a 24/7 propaganda system in place...and people just don't see the upshot of that. I am happy to notice that some people are paying attention.

The average welfare recipient receives approximately:

$700 SSI (more if they have worked)
$200-300 HUD assistance (housing)
$35 Food stamps
-----------------------------
$935-$1035 a month

Then there is Medcaid/Medicare assistance, heating/cooling assistance, assigned case workers to work with them and provide assistance, free cell phones, reduced taxi tickets, reduced movie tickets, etc, etc, etc,...

Total cost per month is probably more than three to four times what I outlined above so let's say $3,000 a month minimum for people on welfare.

This probably wouldn't be so bad if there wasn't over 90,000,000 not in the labor force and more than half of them are on these programs. So let's say there's 50 million of these helpless people.

50 million X $3,000 a month = 150 billion dollars monthly

150 billion dollars monthly / 150 million in labor force = $1,000 a month in taxes from every person in the labor force.

Want some more math?

150 billion dollars monthly X 12 months = 1.8 trillion dollars a year

You'll notice I used the low figure of $3,000. At $4,00 a month...

50 million X $4,000 a month X 12 months = 2.4 trillion dollars a year

And if we assume the 90 million not in the labor force are receiving $4,000 a month in benefits...

90 million X $4,000 X 12 months = $4.32 trillion dollars a year

Looks like welfare recipients make more than someone working their ass off for minimum wage.
