So why aren't we flying sorties over Iraq and destroying all the equipment in Al Qaeda custody ?

Of course, Fallujah fell a few weeks back and Obama did nothing then as well. The Corps should have leveled that town when running off Sadr and his forces.

He gave all the equipment to the Iraqis, pulled our forces out before the Iraqis were ready, and now a Al Qaeda in Iraq has ALL of it. It all flies under the Islamic Black Flag

Before 1973, Nixon gave billions of dollars worth of equipment to the South Vietnamese, that was all captured by the North Vietnamese in 1975. It was all then flying under the communist North Vietnamese flag.

It all happened under Gerald Ford, but I didn't hear anyone saying the President allowed "his communist brothers" to take the country. What is different then from now?

The fact is, we were no more going back into Vietnam than we are going to go back to Iraq. Plain and simple. And, after Saigon fell, Cambodia fell to the Khmer Rouge, and Laos fell to the commies, too, and we did nothing.

All of what you are seeing now was predicted to happen, even before the end of Bush's term.

We don't need troops, just sorties to blow up this equipment. The Iraqis have already thought about asking us to do this.
