Chrissy,  I come from a background of not always being able to fully reveal who I am or what I think.  It went with the territory back then.
When I was growing up,  it was in an era when I couldn't even tell my closest family or my best friends who or what I am.
And while some of that has changed,  I still have close friends who cannot know.  I still live a dual life.

Your comfort on top of the picket fence is not by accident, but by training. You seldom want to offend anybody, and I have to work really hard to get you angry at me.....I almost quit trying. Sometimes in life you take a position and suffer the consequences. I have a great deal of empathy, but really I have no understanding of why you always need to find middle ground and comfort on the fence.......at some point you are going to have to jump off......walk up to the 230 lb bully on the beach, and kick some sand in his face......I can tell you the beating you may get only hurts for awhile, and the next time you get off the fence......people will pay attention, and actually believe what you are saying.

Could be. But it wouldn't be me. So I hope nobody would believe it.

Okay, lets see where you are. You're up there west of Chicago and northwest of Saint Louey somewhere.
The closest I ever got was the Quad Cities.
But I'm having deja vu because I think we've talked about this before.
I have a religious connection to Waterloo and Des Moines. Do you remember what that is? It's such an important part of my life that it figures into why I have a 35 year void in my musical apprecation and why I'm now learning the music of the late 70's and 80's.

Let's see if we can pick you out on this political map.

You know I'm now looking closer at this political map and I can see all kinds of errors in it.
Just for starters, how did most all of southern california become red state.

I have no idea how he would even undertake such a thing,  but if he had attempted to do so,  that would have taken this country from an era of cold civil war to another hot one.  And in the midst of trying to recover from an historic economic recession,  that would probably have sealed the coffin on this nation for good.

You're probably right, but there has to be accountability.  And now Richard Clarke is saying that Bush, et al should be prosecuted for war crimes.  He was the counterintel leader.  There are still people trying to get this heard at the Hague.  And almost 13 years have passed.  Instead, we focus on one soldier who (I have read) witnessed US troops intentionally running over children with a truck.

And I'm tired of the constant attacks on the President.  Bill Clinton's entire 2 terms of office were essentially the same--a 24/7 witch hunt...and I'm not giving him a free pass, either...nor am I giving Obama a free pass.  What I AM going to do is give him credit when he deserves it.  I don't think even he realized the difficulty he was facing at the outset...no one did.  How about a little credit, instead of the nonstop bashing at every single opportunity?

What happened to our national conscience?  What happened to the moral and ethical principles we try to teach our kids?

How many convictions, including that of President William Jefferson Clinton and his surrounding cast as a result of those investigations?

What credit does President Barack Hussein Obama merit? He told us for years the problems we were in and how he was going to fix them. Remember, he was going to cause the seas to subside and all that BS, don't you?

Your literacy of the context of the Constitution and your understanding of socialism are not that reliable that you would waste such energy on despising anybody.

You don't understand the definition of Socialism do you? Who has surrounded himself with self proclaimed Communists and Socialists?

Here's some help. How does this differ from the goals of President Barack Hussein Obama?

so·cial·ism [soh-shuh-liz-uhm] Show IPA
noun

1. a theory or system of social organization that advocates the vesting of the ownership and control of the means of production and distribution, of capital, land, etc., in the community as a whole.

2. procedure or practice in accordance with this theory.

3. (in Marxist theory) the stage following capitalism in the transition of a society to communism, characterized by the imperfect implementation of collectivist principles.

As you know, Jamestown, our first colony was first founded under these principals although it wasn't known as such at the time.

President Obama is less of a socialist than President Bush or Clinton. You do not understand the term, and try to apply a definition where there is no logical nexus, rather puffing and bumbling which would make a Political Science teacher or a Philosophy teacher blush that they had failed to impart in your mind even a rudimentary understanding of the concepts.

You don't get to change definitions seaoat. I realize this is a fun pass time for the left, but its not going to work.

Barack Obama and the Democratic Socialists of America

"Obama can be linked to Democratic Socialists of America"

Writing in the radical (and Democratic Socialists of America connected) Chicago magazine In These Times, in March 2008, Joel Bleifuss asserted;
In particular, Obama can be linked to the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA), the Democratic Party-oriented organization that is a member of the Socialist International
Democratic Socialists of America

Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) is the largest socialist organization in the US. It is one of two official U.S. affiliates of the Socialist International. It was formed in 1982 from a merger of the Michael Harrington led Democratic Socialist Organizing Committee and the smaller New American Movement.

DSA works inside the Democratic Party and has cross membership with the Communist Party USA, Committees of Correspondence for Democracy and Socialism, Socialist Party USA and the Green Party USA.

DSA has close ties to the radical Institute for Policy Studies, ACORN, Jobs with Justice, Congressional Progressive Caucus and publications including Dissent, The Nation and The American Prospect.

Marxism

While not overtly so, Democratic Socialists of America is essentially a Marxist organization.

Obama is a socialist, and anyone who understands the term knows that he has been trying as hard as he can to move this nation towards a more European socialistic country since he took office.

Obama admits it in HIS OWN books. He was raised by communist.

You should read the key wiki link and do your own research for verification, you might be shocked.

Consider the Amerika Inc we now have -- the great bulk of wealth, health safety, educational freedom rests in the hands of a very few greedy, bloodsucking oligarchs.  Our infrastructure is failing, our economy sucks, our educational system ranks among the worst nations in the world, we have a completely dysfunctional government that's composed of whores who sold their souls for campaign funding, long, long, ago.  We race about the world looking for resources we can steal and re-sell for top profits, and so occupied, we try to bully our way and we are more than willing to sacrifice our youth in the name of profits.  One of the greatest threats the world faces is global warming, and worshiping the CEOs of the biggest corporations, close to 25% of America thinks ALL scientists are conspirators, that the earth was formed 7,000 or less years ago, and if only our schools could be run by TV Evangelists, everything would come out right.

Give me European socialism in a heart beat!!!
