Remember the differing stories that came out after Pat Tillman was killed? Or even after fast and furious was exposed? Or benghazi? Or Clapper lying to congress about the information gathering on all citizens? People don't care if they're lied to.

Wrong.....that story was attacked from the git go. Attempts by those in power to create heroes from war is nothing new, nor is it hard to get to the truth......the truth was generally known immediately in this case. An independent news media is critical. If you do not think that folks are going to try to make a bad situation look good, you are naive. You are naive to think this is the rule and not the exception.
