PHOENIX -- Border Patrol Chief Michael Fisher issued new orders Friday telling agents not to place themselves in front of moving vehicles and to avoid situations in which they have no alternative to using deadly force against rock throwers.

The Border Patrol and Customs and Border Protection also publicly released the full text of their use-of-force policies, which had been secret until a copy was leaked to the press in January. Agency officials have been under growing public pressure to address a lack of transparency and accountability in cases of questionable use of deadly force by agents.

An investigation by The Arizona Republic in December found Border Patrol agents and CBP officers had been involved in at least 42 use-of-force deaths since 2005, with many of the cases cloaked in secrecy. In none of these cases are any agents known to have faced discipline or consequences, even in cases that appear questionable, such as when agents shot unarmed teenagers in the back.

I wonder how much federal tax dollars has been poured into the running off and purchasing all those partials for a tortoise.

Now, can you break it down between actual deportation of illegal immigrants draining the economy and illegal immigrants returned at the border? Is a return actually a deportation?

Combining deportation and border returns is a statistical plus for Obama.

This is more than right wingers trying desperately to distract from the indisputable fact that their “hero,” the freeloading Bundy, stopped paying the fee to use public lands almost 20 years ago. The Sharpton talking point proves this beyond a shadow of a doubt. Mind you, right wingers regularly shrug their shoulders when liberals bring up the rich evading taxes hiding their money in offshore accounts. The GOP has been defunding the IRS for decades so they can’t go after the billions owed the taxpayers of the United States. The rich happily avail themselves of our labor, resources and infrastructure but refuse to pay their fair share of the bill. That’s just fine with the right. Unless, of course, the rich person happens to be black. Then it’s a crime and must be punished!

What the totally nonracist right neglects to mention is that there’s no solid proof that Sharpton deliberately evaded his taxes. I’m not particularly enamored of Sharpton and seriously doubt his tax problems are “accidental,” but “doubting” and “proving” are two very different things. Bundy has flat out said he doesn’t recognize the United States’ right to charge him a fee because blablabla. Who cares why? He’s admitted he broke the law and the courts did not back him up. Sharpton, on the other hand, has allegedly worked out a payment plan with the IRS.

The black guy has never been charged with a crime and is paying his debt. The white guy admits he’s freeloading and refuses to pay what he owes.

But, for some reason, only the black guy is a criminal that deserves to be punished.

Why, oh WHY are liberals forever pointing out just how racist conservatives are? I just can’t figure it out…
