Cool, I admire any person who can sew! My mother was an excellent seamstress, but that talent didn't pass on to me.

Have you considered opening your own sewing/alteration business? It's not hard to start your own business locally.

I think PB has a great idea. Most people today don't know how to hem pants or they just don't want to do it.

Also, I've seen handmade dresses for girls/purses/pillows and even pet outfits at festivals and markets. The college sports themed items and clothing seem to be popular.

You could be your own boss and work at home at your own pace.  

And Cool, since you are into sewing, check out etsy.com !!!

My niece is doing pretty well with her etsy page. Not making a living, of course, but bringing in some extra cash. Her day job is elementary school teacher.

I think Cool would do good w/ doing what I'm doing. Working w/ seniors or she even even work w/ the disabled helping them. It's not even work and you can do as many hours as you want.
