Jeter’s defense attorney requested all recorded evidence, but the police failed to hand over a second tape until additional evidence surfaced of a second police car at the scene. The tape showed Jeter complying with police, even as one punched him in the head repeatedly.

Without the tape, prosecutors had been demanding a five-year prison sentence.

Wow! One finally got caught. That is horrifying. They must have said only one car responded to hide the tape but the dispatch records would show differently. They need to clear their internal investigations out too for them to find no wrongdoing. The Justice Dept. needs to investigate them too.

Cops lately seem to be eat up with corruption and the idea they are above the law and can get away with anything. Who's putting this BS in their heads ?...They really are JUST public servants NOT authorities....Citizen safety should always trump officer safety ALWAYS. If the police can't deal with that they should become night watchmen.
