On January 22, 2009 President Obama signed Executive Order 13492, calling for the closure of detention facilities at Guantanamo no later than one year from the date of the order.
Five years later it is still open for business.
As much as I do not care for lawmaking via Executive Order, it's another matter for the order not to have been followed.
Did Obama forget to put a reminder on his calendar?
Do executive Orders have an expiration date?
