Don't tell me it's electric cars.The average age of American cars is 11 years old. This makes no sense at all. What factor am I missing ?

gas consumption correlates with economic activity. Golly gee.....what happened in 2008......an economic crash.......look at the chart and compare it with any GDP calculation......we had negative growth for a number of years and corresponding drop in useage.

high prices and everyone is poorer now so less road trips could be a reason.
