Neko

Neko is still in rehab and she said she is improving, but still has a long way to go.


I wish we could collectively bring her some sunshine, but this is going to be a slow process after lung trauma, and it appears she is not yet on the net. I think that has to be hard for her because she has friends all over who she used to keep in contact by email.

this is an extremely long time, over 2 months. did they ever figure out what the causative agent was? is she in a out patient facility now?

Are you fully recovered, Joani? My mom always has such a difficult time getting over pneumonia. At her age, I think another bout might do her in.

Dot......Neko had severe bilateral pneumonia with acute respiratory distress syndrome which basically shut down her lungs, and she had the swine flu. She is now in rehab for physical strengthening. The illnesses took so much out of her. She has generalized weakness and has to rebuild her muscles. Remember she was on a ventilator for 7 weeks.

bet the military gave it to her  . probably some variant strain they experimented on too. I had forgot she was in jax, so im betting she had to go to nas jax. I hate that hospital. stupidest people ever. I had my first daughter there, they tried to kill me.

I don't know.....where ever she was she survived...and survival was not expected.

Still praying for Neko ---sounds like she has a way to go before she is up and running . Thank god she is on the path to recovery .

Cool, my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. I know it is so hard on you...getting ready to move on top of the worry and heartache regarding your husband. Again, my prayers are with you.

Sorry to hear about your Husband. I hope he is one the mend and moving didn't stress you out too much. Take care of yourself.

Thank You Rottie--Its hard but we will get through this -- I did move but now im trying to get the house back in order now , And im getting it done its taking a while but I will get it --  --my husband Ive never seen him this way before but hes a fighter he was fighting to much I had to slow him down though .

Something good has come out of this so far.
Your daughter has seen how strong her Mother & Father are when faced with adversity.
She has seen family and friends step up and help when called on.
She has seen love.

Thank you, Joani. I appreciate your concern, prayers and for keeping tabs on me. I'm doing much better. Still a ways until full recovery but I've come so far over the last couple of months.
