I'm not normally into conspiracies.  But this one seems to me to be a no-brainer.
All you need do is realize who has benefitted more than anyone from the Duck Dynasty thing?  
The answer is easy.  It was the duck thing that bumped the obamacare debacle off the front pages and off the tv news screens.

It's not a stretch to believe that Obama and the duck people are in cahoots.
All Obama had to do was get the duck people to attract all the attention away from obamacare.  And he convinced them to do that by being controversy magnets.  I can envision the conversation between Obama and Phil Robertson in the oval office...

Obama: "Phil,  here's the deal.  You start running down gays and I mean really pull out all the stops.  Even call them murderers.  It will really play well with your audience and make duck people a household word.  
Oh sure the network will threaten to fire you.  But that will just create a firestorm of backlash which will push your recognition factor over the top.
You'll be all they're talking about at the water coolers,  in the churches,  on the tv and radio news and commentary shows and everywhere on the internet and every other place.
That WILL make you a lot more bankable.  That WILL move your merchandise.  That will give you the economic clout to demand any compensation you want from any tv network.  
And here's how I benefit from it,  Phil.  It will replace obamacare bashing on all the media.  That will go to the back page and you will go to front page above the fold.
It's a win for both of us,  Phil."

I bet Robertson is now out there in Hawaii lounging around the pool with Barack and Michelle and making a toast to congratulate each other for their genius as we speak.

Breakfast Sex

She was standing in the kitchen,
preparing our usual soft-boiled eggs and toast for breakfast, wearing only the tee shirt that she normally slept in.
