What he's saying, Chrissy, is that over time the people who hate on queers are becoming fewer and the people who are tolerant of queers are growing in numbers. And as that tolerance keeps growing, the hating on queers will not be acceptable in "polite society".

I'm not saying I agree with him, just explaining what his comment meant.
All this may change in the future but it's not gonna change enough in my limited lifetime to make any difference for me. And I frankly don't care anyway. As long as those nuts on WEBY don't try to burn a cross in my yard, they're just a source of entertainment for me.

I never said our entire society is polite.

Unfortunately, we are infested with boorish ignoramuses who post porn on a discussion forum and hope another poster's wife would be raped by an AIDs infected African-American.

But, there is a subsection of our society that is erudite and rational.

That's the polite society.

And, we are in the majority.

bob, I understood the context to where he was coming from.

as you know I am disgusted with the way most out and about gays act in public. You know those marching down the street in nuns outfits wearing dildos again. So maybe this isn't a more polite society but a more vulgar one.

I don't think our society really accepts gays as much as you may think from watching tv and listening to the lefties. I think gays are nothing more but a agenda tool used by the left to prance around for votes.

I say this because I don't hide that I am a lesbian, but I don't go marching down the road and announce it either. Im just a normal(heh) unsuspecting person and I get to hear the things people really think.

but back to our so called polite culture LOL

where should we start? How about music? TV? video games?

What part of our society is 'POLITE" ?

Yes mam, let me get that for you

The only place I've ever seen anything like that is in the videos Jesse Waters or whoever takes to show on The O'Reilly Factor.
I've never in my life ever seen it anywhere else.  I even visited the Castro District in San Francisco and I never saw anything like that there either.

On that we agree.

Using "Sal" and a "Polite Society" in the same sentence is an oxymoron.

oh they do. Let me tell you just last week I was having a smoke with a couple of people at work. I look very conservative btw.. and we were talking about how I have never gone down to the keys. And the one said, yeah they have whatever it is called the gay pride thing down there and she told me she was in a bar and one girl was standing at the bar while another was eating her nu nu< she used the word nu nu lol and she said the other girl was acting like it wasn't even going on. I don't know why she felt the need to tell me that LOL << that is NOT polite lmao

I wont tell you what I told her. but anyway, its just proof that this stuff is out there and occurring at these events and its creating a stereotype and the left does promote it. They use it.

There are hundreds of thousands of hidden gays and lesbians out here who are not like that and who agree with me. This isn't a polite society, its a vulgar society where every little group is used as a political tool for power hungry people.

I went to Key West last year. I wish I had known where to see women eating each other out at a bar. I missed seeing any of that. lol

The wildest stuff I've ever seen was on Fat Tuesday on Bourbon Street. But those weren't queers. lol

That's from Fantasy Fest.  Happens once a year and is like a gay Mardi Gras.
It's just like Mardi Gras, anyone who doesn't want to see it doesn't have to go.  I don't so I don't go.
