Gallup poll: 72% say US Government greatest threat ....good.

PRINCETON, NJ -- Seventy-two percent of Americans say big government is a greater threat to the U.S. in the future than is big business or big labor, a record high in the nearly 50-year history of this question. The prior high for big government was 65% in 1999 and 2000. Big government has always topped big business and big labor, including in the initial asking in 1965, but just 35% named it at that time.

well, I guess our gov is pretty darn worried right now knowing that, explains a lot.

This is a staggering figure.  The change in the past 12 months is staggering as well.  Obviously a majority of Democrats feel the same way leaving only the die hard Progressives who don't fear a huge government.

But it needs some clarification. 72% of democrats believe the government is the biggest threat only when republicans are in charge and 72% of the republicans believe the government is the biggest threat only when the democrats are in charge.

I won't be impressed until they figure out how govt solutions/interventions turn into big govt... but it's a start.
