The report projects that Alabama would bring in $2.1 billion in federal funds from expanding Medicaid; $975 million in federal highway funds and $10.4 billion in defense procurement contracts.
Wow.....close to 20% loss.....all these years Alabama has taken more federal dollars than it has paid.......yet with this voluntary act of fiscal conservative patriotism they have lost close to 20% of their federal dollars, and I guess the guilt of taking all those dollars over the years finally caught up to government officials......Alabama's pass is New Jersey's gain....Chris Christy is going to look like a genius next to the folks who turned away from the subsidy. Could you imagine a state saying.......you know what federal highway dollars are socialism.....we do not want them anymore........
