http://www.nbcnews.com/health/states-losing-billions-refusing-expand-medicaid-report-finds-2D11697962?ocid=msnhp&pos=1

The report projects that Alabama would bring in $2.1 billion in federal funds from expanding Medicaid; $975 million in federal highway funds and $10.4 billion in defense procurement contracts.

Wow.....close to 20% loss.....all these years Alabama has taken more federal dollars than it has paid.......yet with this voluntary act of fiscal conservative patriotism they have lost close to 20% of their federal dollars, and I guess the guilt of taking all those dollars over the years finally caught up to government officials......Alabama's pass is New Jersey's gain....Chris Christy is going to look like a genius next to the folks who turned away from the subsidy. Could you imagine a state saying.......you know what federal highway dollars are socialism.....we do not want them anymore........

He was dead right about the High Speed Rail and he'll be dead right about this.

What happens when the Federal government reduces the tax payers money they are giving to those states foolishly expanding Medicaid?

Problem is, we currently have no "pros" managing Florida.

rick scott is doing a very good job. This state is doing better than most states. You really should look at the statistics before claiming that.

That is exactly why ole Rich is 'one-and-done.'
Wait, I have heard 'one-and-done' somewhere before.
Where?
Oh, yea.
That was your prediction of the election 2012.
You said Obama was 'one-and-done.'
Remember? Of course you cannot.
You have already repressed that event forever.
So sorry.
Thanks.

let me say this S l O W L Y for you..... his polling has nothing to do with how well he has done. Its not his fault most people in FL are STUPID.

The economy grew way above the national avg.

matter of a fact while most of the country is seeing a decline in personal income as well, Fl grew there too. And I think we were the highest.

Your choice to ignore public opinion polls only proves that you are blissfully content living in your little bubble where the real world does not matter.
The entire country is doing better. You cannot point to a single thing that the honorable Governor Fraud has done to improve how our state is doing economically.
Keep your head in sand, Chrissy.  Keep ignoring what goes on in the world around you.  It suits you.
Thanks.

Let me say this again to you SLOWLY

The state is doing way better than the national average under rick scott. This is A FACT.

now who likes him is irrelevant. That is the problem with the left and people these days, they want leaders who they "LIKE" not leaders who can actually get the JOB done. << which points out another problem the left has, JOBs... something most of your group doesn't put a lot of weight in either, so I don't expect you to appreciate a job creator.

direct result of the slowing trend in the growth of health care spending over the past five years leading to a slowdown in rising costs

yes, the money has come off the backs of those working in healthcare. I projected this years ago here.

right now there are multiple lawsuits going on because the gov is in fact creating monopolies out of multiple professions.

hospitals are closing down, some are getting bought by larger hospital groups, same with labs of a multitude of services.

private insurances are cutting fees as well because now they have the GOV in their pocket.

You see one side. I live the other see.

you will get what you deserve. and when that means the guy at mcdonalds is qualified to do a complicated test, don't come blaming me. blame it on cost cutting.

because now production is the name of the game.

oh wait.. im sorry im talking care, your talking access LOL

my bad.

Alright McDonalds a one stop shop, get your big mac and prostate exam at the same time, no wonder they want more money. Life can't get any better than this.

Yes, because of all the criminal cover-ups.

Especially Fast and Furious, ObamaCare and Benghazi.

But, to you, the end justifies the means does it not?

If polls are your preferred measurement of success or failure, why are you not applying the same ruler to President Barack Hussein Obama?

To say the entire country is doing better simply shows you are living in a fools paradise.  Enjoy the unicorns?

LOL you really got them.

They were in fact trying to use polls as a measurement of success and you are absolutely right that if they applied that rule to Obama they would see his numbers are even lower than rick scotts. LOL
