No "Girly Hats" for Marines Afterall....

The Marine Corps was testing the prospect of making a unisex cover for both male and female Marines who wear any of the dress uniforms. The tested female Marines wearing the male dress cover and they considered making male Marines where the female cover.

Then after such stalwart news sources such as Fox News and the New York Post published stories saying that President Obama had ordered the Marines to wear what they called "Girly Hats," a storm was unleashed in the online blogoshpere.

Fearful of the negative publicity over these stories, the Marine Corps pulled all proposals for any unisex cover for Marines.

Well, it turns out that the Marines have decided that females will now wear the male cover. So those stories about 'girly-hats' for Marines were not true afterall.
