Speck fishing a old friend Carl Dyess.  He helped devloped the spinner bait as we know it today.  He worked with Tom Mann before Bass fishing really took off.    That is a wood boat I built.  It worken pretty well.  Caught a lot of fish with it,,

I have some of those old old wooden hooks --I don't know what they are called but I have them , I got them from one of my dads that passed on .
They look like old wooden small fish with hooks that's all I know Laughing

Love it. I rarely fished in inland waters...always salt water...although I did put down some liver in a river once...went on a boat excursion for bass, but mostly all the fishing I ever did was in salt water...makes me sad for the people whose lives have been altered by the BP "spill". The proper term is "blowout."

As far as I am concerned, the best fishiing in the world is in Virginia.
