C'mon now...y'all. Don't get all upset about a thread about standing in line. Dang, I hate standing in line too. Y'all are kind of hard on Dreams although Dreams is like a bulldog...she doesn't back down. Not at all. lol.
You know, a cashier makes a big difference about how much time you have to wait. I have found many Walmart cashiers to be incredibly slow. When we were in Huntsville, we shopped at Costco and their cashiers are fast. But then, they don't have to bag groceries. Also, my experience in shopping at commissaries is that the cashiers are super fast. If we had slow cashiers here at the NAS Jax commissary, the line would be a half a mile long. And coupons are very popular with commissary customers, but the cashiers are really fast at scanning those, too. At Publix, when there are more than a couple of people in line, they try to open up another register. I like that. Also, you don't hear nearly as many screaming kids in Publix, like in Walmart. And in Walmart, every noise echos through the entire store. I hate that! I think a lot of kids get "overload" or something in Walmart--too many sounds, too many people. And they have breakdowns/tantrums.
Anyway, this thread has taken a direction that is sad to me.
