Well, well, well, I could bring up the fact that" hey you need to get a job" because if all you have is $600 between you and disaster then you're not doing to well and who's fault is that? Your husband doesn't want you to work? Ok then you choose to be in your financial situation and when misfortunes happen ...you're not prepared. Some people's situations are not their fault and some are. We don't know what other people's are but this was a result of choices and will probably happen again. There is a lesson to be learned here.

Isn't Cool's situation exactly how assistance should be used? She was in a one-time, unforeseen situation. That assistance filled a void and allowed her family to make a transition. In my opinion, that is how assistance should be used. Welfare programs started off that way but have morphed into a way of life for so many recipients. We now have third-generation welfare recipients. No one on their family has ever had a job. They just expect the government to take care of everything, as opposed to just using assistance to help out in a rough spot or to use it temporarily while they improve their education or job skills.

The problem w/ Cool's situation is the same as most all chronically poor. They live from pay check to paycheck and when a crisis occurs they have no way out. They have one foot on a banana peel and the other one step into homelessness. These people spend their money foolishly and have no emergency fund. They spend their money on luxuries they cannot afford rather than not saving it for these disasters. Usually one disaster does it. Her husband does not make enough to financially sustain the family w/ any safety net. There is a solution here in that she can work and assist financially. Singles mothers w/ children don't have that option and wind up in the system unless they get an education and raise their financial status.

There are certainly circumstances where private interdiction still works... as it always has... much prior to modern govt.

Ok Ive had enough of the crap---I pay my bills ok --that's all that matters ,  pay check to paycheck--most the time yes !   And the reason is I don't need food stamps ok  I take money out and buy food thrifty I make it last!  If I ran down and got food stamps surely I would have a huge savings-lol----don't talk about my husband -He works his ass off and you have no idea what he makes lol

He makes enough to pay our bills --we as a family know what goes on in our home -You do not !

If I stay the hell at home what is it of your concern anyway --worry about your own shit ok If I feel as though I can work I will,  If as a family we decide its not best ! either way its no concern of yours at all!

I don't go out to eat we eat at home. we don't go out anywhere lol But we are happy---I told you all I helped my step son get down here then paid the first months rent to try to help them ,  And now he is working and doesn't need anymore help !

yes I have two car notes till my daughter gets out of school and she can get a job to help out with that .

I pay car ins---like everyone else !  You are a total-B----ch!  for attacking me because my son needed help!  we have savings its pulled out of my husbands check -that way when he can no longer work its there for us !

now yes I had some savings lol---I just put out $1000 to fix the electric in the house----car broke down--another $1000  and right after that the kids called ---Can you help me find a job dad!

You know so much --But you know nothing lol---You may have family -I didn't Ive been taking care of myself since I was sixteen  years old I had to .  I didn't have a mommy or daddy !  So while you were being cuddled and was told every night I love you and you must go to school --and honey we will help you all we can --and maybe fixed your lunch for school --maybe honey you would like to sit and talk to mommy !   All this shit you took for granted !  

I on the other hand -was out here saying why cant I have a mom or a dad that truly loved me period -- why must some beat me why I said ---and then when you think your old enough to speak back they say well don't run away this month maybe the next month because I need your check from the state --and like a dumbass I waited -why because I loved her !  and knowing no one would say that to me if they loved me at all!
