So what your saying is we didnt need to stinking navigators? That we just spent MILLIONS, no BILLIONS on navigators and a new sign up system that no one needs, all they needed to do was go to a insurance provider and bang, you tell them what the subsidy is and done, they sign up? Is this correct?ppaca wrote:No No No we are able to assist but it seems the American public are by passing us. We also can do applications. And hey, I am not about to call any of their "marketing reps" and apply for a plan over the phone! Looks like that's the tack the gov is taking, and it really irritates me. I want to be able to compare the plans myself, not take some supposed navigators word for what's best for me!
PPaca - is there some rule that says insurance salespeople are not able to assist consumers with this? If there is no such rule, is there a fee for service? I would gladly pay it, but I want an insurance salesperson who knows that the heck they are doing!
The gov has been sending out warnings about people who are charging to assist consumers, but an experienced insurance salesperson should be able to charge for assistance, if it helps break up the back log.
Exactly what I'm saying, navigator's are not my friend. They are not suppose to sign people up but only show them how to fill out info to see plans and then they are suppose to say you can do it yourself online or see an agent or I suppose a certified counselor application or whatever they are calling it. It's bullshit that the govt paid any body to be a navigator. Glad Florida didn't get much money towards them and up here they were only awarded less than $200,000, community clinics to hire these people. I hope they run out of money fast. Well the govt has it set up that we have to use them to figure the subsidy, we don't need them after that, but basically what you are saying is correct.Chrissy wrote:So what your saying is we didnt need to stinking navigators? Yes, I know about the fight with getting a license and I know about them lowering the standard. That should make people feel good and safe, right?ppaca wrote:Exactly what I'm saying, navigator's are not my friend. Oh to top it off they didn't need an insurance license and continuing education and then the govt lowered their training hours from 30 (which isn't enough) to 20. You can hire anyone off skid row to be a navigator.
Yes they did screw it up and I hope all their broken dick's fall off.Chrissy wrote:Yes, I know about the fight with getting a license and I know about them lowering the standard. I think Fl was giving about 8 million $$$ btw... this is off top of my head which is pretty tired tonight.
But lets get back to what you just confirmed.
our gov is a bunch of god damn stupid mofos who spend money just so they can say they did something different than what they really did, but in that process like always, they fucked it up.
Thy wont recover from this fumble. The smirking ferbies here may think so, but history shows when you start with a broken dick don't expect a baby.
