To anyone who might be reading this discussion forum because you saw mention of it by someone in the newspaper.

If there's any one thing that characterizes these discussions it's that we don't have the censorship you and others experience when contributing to the newspaper.  Or if you only read and don't participate,  you don't get to read stuff over there that's not put through the filter of censorship.  Here you will get to read that.

Welcome!  Always good to see a new...Avatar.

I invite you to enter into any thread in which you have an interest.  I also caution you that if you are thin skinned, you may wish tread lightly.  There are a few here who are incapable of expressing themselves in a cogent rebuttal.  In lieu, they launch full out attacks on the author, their heritage and anything else they can say with the intent of scaring you away.  My usual practice is to kill them with kindness.  That really gets under their skin.  I'm proud to say I've been called things I've had to look up in an urban dictionary.

Thanks for the warning Bob and Mr. Markle.  I have been reviewing different sections of the forum and I noticed some members seem to have difficulty just having a discussion when opinions differ. It won't bother me, it just helps me weed out the idiots.

Politically I am a mixed bag.  Most things are not black and white for me.  I do not believe our government should be so involved in our lives; it is not up to the government to take care of us or tell us out to live our lives.  I do believe as individuals we have a moral obligation to help those less fortunate and are in actual need of assistance.

Although I can be as snarky as the best of them, I tend to ignore over-the-top behavior.  I don't think it is necessary for me to point out that someone is an idiot; I figure it is probably pretty obvious!
