A study going back to the Renaissance reveals the amount of clothing determines leaders. Having less on, or more on determines who becomes the leaders. Even here in America the less on people are the grunt go to work every day. And our leaders are the moron's.

Good point. I believe Dubya was darker complected than Clinton, and Obama looks darker complected than Dubya.

The study also failed to take this dude into consideration too.  And he could very well turn out to be a cross between Steve Jobs and Henry Ford.  I'm considering buying stock in his company as we speak.

And then of course there's the two guys seen on the left in this photo who I think might also qualify as "leaders". That is if revolutionizing the world qualifies someone as being a leader. lol

Wow, they look like they just walked out of Abercrombie and Fitch for sure. lol

The exception proves the rule.

Everyone can post photos of some of the computer guru's who pride themselves on looking disheveled.

People who wish to be successful, in a traditional manner, need to dress for the job they want, not the one they have.

John T. Malloy wrote a best seller in 1975 called Dress for Success. He followed it in 1977 with a book, Dress for Success for Women. They have been updated over the years.

Young and middle age people would do well to pick up a copy or read it on-line. He tells you up front that you don't have to agree with his study. They are the facts and you can do as you wish. His book is based on the premise of people's attitude of you based on your dress and appearance.

Excellent book.

Those "computer gurus" and many more like them are employing a lot of people in high wage jobs,  markle.  They are quickly becoming more than just an "exception". Rather, they are becoming the new American "industrialists".

That's nothing more than an R&D facility...then it's

China may churn out smartphones, tablets and connected televisions by the tens of millions, but they’re all built in shops like Flextronics first.

A book on how to dress written in the 70s -- remember the 70s? --

is about as far out as you could be in 2013. Markle wouldn't know what's right to wear if it wasn't a brown shirt, brown shorts, and a nice swastika armband ... LOL

If somebody wanted to be a middle manger level they would think there is a specific type of dress which will enhance their career. My experience is that was true forty years ago. I remember the first time I went to the Arthur Anderson training facility, and young consultants were told how to dress. It was standard in the corporate world. Doctors and lawyers had uniforms they had to wear, and an operations manger down to middle managers had suits on Monday through Friday. Leadership had nothing to do with it. Compliance and conformity was the reason, and some corporate environments rewarded very little variation from the standard expected in the work environment. I have a friend who has been in the clothing business for forty years, and casual business is all he sells and a custom suit is a rarity today. The standard has shifted to business casual across the board, and it has little to do with leadership.

Most of you are confusing business owners or inventors as leaders. Those people can pretty much dress like they want.

You wont get a high profile job as a "LEADER" in a sweat shirt. I can promise you this.

It sure is easy, and fun, to get under your skin.  My good friend Wordslinger has a pretty short fuse.  All I have ever posted are your own words and your own claims about yourself.  Shouldn't you be proud of your beliefs?

Yet, you have to stoop to claiming I wear a swastika armband and various other names and slurs.  Why?
