Administration officials said the influential pro-Israel lobby group Aipac was already at work pressing for military action against the government of Mr. Assad, fearing that if Syria escapes American retribution for its use of chemical weapons, Iran might be emboldened in the future to attack Israel. In the House, the majority leader, Eric Cantor of Virginia, the only Jewish Republican in Congress, has long worked to challenge Democrats’ traditional base among Jews.

One administration official, who, like others, declined to be identified discussing White House strategy, called Aipac “the 800-pound gorilla in the room,” and said its allies in Congress had to be saying, “If the White House is not capable of enforcing this red line” against the catastrophic use of chemical weapons, “we’re in trouble.”

Again nonsense. Israel does not need us dropping bombs while they receive chemical attacks from Syria and Iran. Stupid on Steroids. Eric Cantor is a wimp who has stabbed his speaker in the back enough to establish him as a worthless POS, but he is not going to vote for intervention.....pure fantasy.....where do you get this stupid stuff.

Not a chance.......just do not get it yet........why can't the big kid on the playground bluff.......does he always have to be sent to the office after kicking someone's asz? You would have to be a fricking idiot to bomb a few targets and not expect another chemical attack. This was something American diplomacy has not mastered in the last 50 years.....We were brilliant in World War II in this regard, but in subsequent engagements we have fallen woefully short. The Cuban Missle crisis was a good old poker bluff which could have had the crap hit the fan......but part of a good bluff is the all in aspect........Please tell me I am a dumb ass when the first bomb hits Syria........I feel pretty secure about what is going on here......
