Siskel and Ebert both had tough landings from this life....both their cancers were tough. You can sometimes think your situation is tough, and then you see people with incredible class and courage. Roger Ebert was that type of man. He and Siskel brought me great joy, and I remember watching the PBS series on Saturdays when we were first married, and we seldom were led astray by their bright and intuitive understanding of American Film.
