The needle won't move much unless BLS does another adjustment. I can make an easy prediction about lots of construction jobs after Sandy - get those buses rolling from Texas though because the BHO fans in the northeast won't want those menial construction jobs.....

I'll agree, though the number will be 7.5%. Why did ADP choose this month to change their methods? It's becoming a joke, what stats can be trusted?

162k to 88k to 114k in a month? These are adjustments based on hard stats? We'll see..........

Manufacturing lost 8,000 jobs last month. You might want to review the projected layoffs, it's ugly.

The industries that reported rising new orders are oriented to consumers. Those industries include furniture, food and beverages, paper products and computer and electronics

Base your opinions on a left-wing web-site? The ADP report stated there was a loss of 8,000 manufacturing jobs. You ever bother to check the announced layoffs? UBS is cutting 10-15k fixed income jobs. Ford is cutting 10k. The announced lay-offs are close to 500k last month.

I don't think a +150k a month in new hires will cover 450k a month in lost jobs. Ask Clinton about the math......

But, think of the boost to the number of people working "part-time for economic reasons"?

That is because people are re-entering the workforce. Also, the number of those employed grew by 410,000.

How silly of me to leave that part out!!! I should've also added the fact that the number of unemployed is over 1.5 million lower than this time last year and 3 million less than in 2009.

Thanks for reminding me.

I also don't think he understood his figure came from the Household survey and the 171k figure I posted was from the Establishment survey.

Of course, the only thing that really matters today is that Apple has breached the 200-day moving average. Can hungry New Yorkers eat iPad minis?

Its an embaressment for the left.

This country is in a mess and they are trying so hard to fudge the numbers that its so bad that even them could only barely manage to shave off 0.1% to keep it under 8 so it wouldnt look so bad ....
