The Washington Free Beacon has obtained a report soon to be released by the United Nations that calls for an international campaign of legal attacks and economic warfare on a group of American companies that do business in Israel, including Hewlett-Packard, Caterpillar Inc., and Motorola Solutions Inc.

The costs to companies and businesses of failing to respect international humanitarian law are considerable,” the report warns, “including damage to a company’s public image, impact on shareholder decisions and share price and could result in employees being criminally responsible for rights abuses.”

The report warns American employees of targeted companies that they face legal risks.

“Employees of companies can face investigation and prosecution for human rights violations committed irrespective of where the violation was committed.

Chrissy, Did you read that? Unbelievable!!! We so totally need an administration who will stand up to these people rather than joining them.

I read through all of the companies on the list in the linked PDF. Gotta wonder why General Electric isn't on the list, since as of late 2010 their Healthcare leg was doing business w/Israel, and I see no indication that they have ceased those operations.

OH! Forgive me. That's right... It's because Immelt is in bed w/Obama.

The thought of those countries charging, investigating and prosecuting employees of our companies " for human rights violations committed irrespective of where the violation was committed.” is beyond anything I can even imagine.

Where is the uproar?

We know our Pres won't say anything about it, but where is the media?

It's insanity, total and utter insanity. Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad

This is at the same time they want to tax us. We pay the majority of their budget and it is run by a couple hundred tin pot dictators looking at us as their own private golden goose.

I think France would make an ideal location for their new site.

Hell... France is trying to retreat from their socialism... like England and even Russia and to some degree China...

Who are we trying to be like again? Bad ideas fail.

Israel and the U.S. quickly rejected Richard Falk's report, accusing the U.N. special rapporteur of bias against Israel and calling for his removal.

"Israel and the U.S. quickly rejected Richard Falk's report, accusing the U.N. special rapporteur of bias against Israel and calling for his removal.

U.S. Ambassador Susan Rice called Falk "highly biased" and his appeal for a boycott "irresponsible and unacceptable."

The Anti-Defamation League called on U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon to rescind his preliminary endorsement of the report and to distance his office from Falk, who was appointed by the U.N. Human Rights Council.

But in the General Assembly, representatives from several countries including Egypt and Iran called Falk's report fair and balanced."

Whew! talk about a circus.

It doesn't diminish the idea that we are somewhere we really don't need to be. First they want to tax us and now propose prosecuting our Corporations and their employees.

Sounds a bit counter productive for the US and her citizens.......us.

From the link you provided. So it re-iterates that this was approved by the UN. and of course Iran thinks this is great, but explain to me again how much money and involvment our gov has had with egypt as of late that they would support such a insane request?

Since the UN endorsed this we can assume that this is but another failure of our government to do its job. But its no surprise since the obama administration decided to join HRC in 2009 so they could fight the good cause from with in, we all know later that this administration decided you couldnt fight things from within. So what do we expect?

we expect it to get hidden so people dont know about it.
