More bad COVID news for Florida. I guess as long as He, Casey, Madison and the rest of his brood stay healthy, Racist Ron D doesn't care how many folks in Florida die. Just saying. Twisted Evil

Seems DeSantis has made sure there's no pandemic information reaching Florida citizens any more. We have zero data available as to which counties are the worst (or best) in Florida in terms of new cases, or deaths, or low vaccination rates, or in terms of ANYTHING. "Keep 'em ignorant" must be the byword in the governor's mansion.

Thanks, Pkr. Better than nothing, but barely so, since it only reports county stats for one region of Florida. Nothing whatsoever for NW Florida.

‘They’re all gone’: Florida woman loses fiancé, mother and grandma in 5 days to COVID-19

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A Florida woman is devastated after losing her fiancé, mother and grandmother all in the course of five days to COVID-19.

Tiffany Devereaux and her family live in the Jacksonville area about 30 minutes south of the Georgia/Florida border.

Devereaux lost her grandmother last Saturday, her fiancée last Monday and her mother last Wednesday.

“I had to skip going to my Meemaw’s funeral yesterday so I could get to the hospital to say goodbye to my Momma,” Devereaux told WJXT through tears.

Devereaux’s fiancé, 35-year-old Britt McCall, worked for the Duval County school system with his father, 60-year-old Mark McCall.

Family members told CNN Mark McCall also became infected and died early Friday. His mother is still in the hospital.

Devereaux told WJXT that her 85-year-old grandmother was vaccinated, but already in poor health. The rest of the family was not. She also tested positive for the virus, but had mild symptoms.

Devereaux said she doesn’t know how she is going to go on without them.

“I feel so lost. I don’t know what to think or how to feel right now. I want my loved ones back,” Devereaux said. “They’re the ones that always got me through all the hard times in my life. And now they’re all gone.”

Devereaux said she now plans to get vaccinated and is encouraging everyone else to as well.

“My mom and my fiancé, their last wishes were for me to get vaccinated,” Devereaux said. “Because they told me how painful this virus was. I just want everyone to know how important this is.”

Friends of Devereaux’s family have set up a GoFundMe here. Britt McCall’s younger sister set up a GoFundMe to help pay for her brother and father’s funeral expenses HERE.

Vaccination rates in Georgia counties near Jacksonville are some of the lowest in the state. In Charlton County, just over the state line, only 15.1% of the population is fully vaccinated. In nearby Camden County, 28.9% of people are vaccinated.

Florida saw over 21,000 new cases of COVID-19 on Saturday, a record high since the pandemic began. The Georgia Department of Public Health does not release data on new COVID-19 cases over the weekend.
