Snap benefits for almost 45 million Americans cost four billion more than the MIC funding clause reserve......What would happen in ten years if 70 billion was put into the budget each year to improve American infrastructure, schools, and job training. This is obscene at so many levels, but when the nation has become a weak kneed scardy cat where conceal and carry expand, and military budget pour more down the little wussy rabbit hole.......when will American take back this country?

Whose pockets will this 70 billion actually go into? I doubt the bulk of it will be going into the pockets of soldiers, sailors, airmen, and marines.  Follow the money.

Slightly OT but...

I keep hearing these republican politicians saying "we need to rebuild our military".

We already have the strongest military in the world. WTF is there to "rebuild"?

I think we need to downsize and spend the $ on infrastructure like most other countries are doing.

The bidding system down to the actual complex products which are flawed never are challenged. When looking at the mistakes of Hitler in WW II, as the war started to stall, he worked for bigger and more complicated tanks, but the Russians were running thousands of tanks at a tractor factory which were clearly inferior to all the bells and whistles, which in the end were simply overwhelmed.

We have put all our eggs in a basket expecting our enemies to follow rules. The assumption is nobody will use small tactical nuclear conventional weapons against our sophisticated and costly systems and simply overwhelm our delivery systems which seemed to perfect WWII strategies and delivery systems.

It is one thing to be inefficient and wasteful, but to fail in the very mission they were sent to do..........a tragic historical error in American history.
