Matt Gaetz, our very own Representative in Congress, introduced an amendment before the House Judiciary Committee to investigate Obama, Hillary and Loretta Lynch, for criminal acts. He also introduced standalone legislation to do the same.

He was one of the signers of that letter to Sessions about the same thing:

Does anyone know of this ever happening before, in the entire history of our country, the investigation of a former President and a former political opponent for crimes? Are we turning into a banana republic or what?

Here a link to Gaetz's latest newsletter--you have to scroll down a bit for the juicy part. There's also a video link in the there.

There was a story about Gaetz a few months ago in the Tampa Tribune
that didn't get a lot of attention here. This guy is a real prize.

He also wants to dig a new Navarre Pass.

The very place which still remains like old Navarre they want to destroy and have the raw sewage move into the Gulf and spoil Navarre Beach and Pensacola Beach, but folks with money can build more tall buildings and make more money. Just follow the money. There is a way to move boats from the intercoastal to the Gulf without cutting a pass. The Europeans have many examples of elevated boat transfers which do not involve destroying the environment.

It could ruin the sound as well. Pcola pass is natural and the reason for the early settlements. It has outflow. I can't stand the constant use of govt as a hammer... to include the social engineering. When do we learn that lesson? Navarre doesn't need a man made pass... and humans don't need herding.

Yeah, he's a real prize, ain't he? He also wants to abolish the EPA. Read this, it'll curl your hair--assuming it's not already curly, of course:

The first piece of legislation he introduced as a federal representative was to completely abolish the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) by December 31, 2018.

Rep. Gaetz claims that his plan to abolish the EPA is about giving states the sole authority to regulate their own environments, even though states are currently free to enact their own environmental safeguards as long as they adhere to the federally set minimums. So, the only possible change would be that states reduce the already meager environmental protections for industries operating within their borders.

Before he was elected to the U.S. Congress, Rep. Gaetz served as a representative in the Florida House of Representatives, where he had a history of opposing environmental safeguards. As DeSmog has reported, he and his three co-sponsors have financial backing from fossil fuel companies and energy utilities.

And then there's this from CNN:

The Florida Republican, like other lawmakers around the country, is holding events in his district Thursday and is worried about protesters.

The thought has crossed Gaetz's mind that protests could completely disrupt him from being able to speak at all at his town hall. So he's created what his staffers call the "non-verbal town hall," reminiscent of a scene from the movie "Love Actually."

Yikes!

I get his news releases in my email from time to time, mostly when I sign petitions. He's for Trump all the way. He is sure that no Republican could possibly want health care. I met with his father when Bush was in office...don't trust either of them. To my knowledge, he never lost his license after his DUI's. I wonder how that happened.

But wait, there's more!

I just got this in my email:

An aide to Northwest Florida Congressman Matt Gaetz wrote a bill with help from a conspiracy theory subreddit devoted to white nationalism and President Donald Trump.

Devin Murphy, a Republican staffer for Gaetz, actively solicited input and advice from r/The_Donald, a Reddit forum known for harboring discussions and sentiment of overt racism, white supremacism, Islamophobia, and neo-Nazism.

I'm thinking it's a little early for Gaetz re-election campaign rhetoric?
